If you have any appetite for heights, add a half-day beginner climbing course on Railay limestone. It's the single most Krabi thing you can do.

Ferry in 2–2.5 hours (฿350–500) threading through the limestone islands, minivan in about 2.5 hours (฿250–400), or private transfer in 2 hours (฿2,000–3,000). The ferry is the scenic pick in dry season, but in monsoon swell the road is the dependable one.

Very. The realistic risks are sunburn, monsoon rip currents at red-flag beaches, and scooters, the usual Thailand trio. On boat days, wear the life jacket, keep valuables in a dry bag, and use the licensed boats from the marked queues at Ao Nang rather than freelance touts.
