Momiji Onsen & Spa
Tucked into the beachside district of Ao Nang, this Japanese-inspired wellness venue brings the ritual of onsen bathing to the Krabi coast. The combination of traditional hot spring immersion and a full menu of spa treatments — including body scrubs, aromatherapy massages, and facials — sets it apart from the Thai massage shops that dominate the area. The Japanese aesthetic carries through the entire space, creating an atmosphere that visitors consistently describe as peaceful and immersive from the moment they step inside. Packages cater to a range of occasions and group sizes, from couples and honeymooners to families and solo travellers. Signature offerings such as the Touch of Zen package and couples treatments prove particularly popular, and pricing draws frequent praise from international visitors who find the experience exceptional value compared to equivalent services at home. Staff receive consistent mentions for their warmth and attentiveness, which contributes to the overall sense of calm the venue cultivates. The facility opens daily from 11am to 11pm, making it well-suited for an evening wind-down after a day on the water or exploring the surrounding area. Booking ahead is advisable, especially for couples packages and weekend visits, as availability can fill quickly. Same-day bookings by phone are sometimes possible on quieter weekdays, but are not guaranteed. Plan to allow at least two hours to make the most of both the onsen and spa services.

Visitor Reviews
Incredible experience at Momiji Onsen and Spa. The ambiance as you walk in is very relaxing. We called the morning of to book a honeymoon package, and they thankfully had availability on a Wednesday morning. Once we arrived the staff asked about specific areas to work on and provided options for the onsen bath scents, body scrub oils and the massage oil. We went with the milk bath and it was subtlety fragrant and very moisturizing. Body scrub and Thai massage were both excellent. I highly recommend coming here for one of the packages for a romantic and relaxing experience.
Decided to go for a spa experience in Krabi. Did some searching and stumbled upon Momiji. Loved the ambience the moment we stepped into it. Felt so light right after the massage. We also opted in for the hot ball compress along with the Thai oil massage. Total was 3800 baht. Only regret is we didn’t schedule an appointment. Came slightly before 11.30am and the packages with onsen were unavailable because the onsens were fully booked. Nevertheless, would come back to experience what we couldn’t today 😁 thank you, Momiji team!
This was hands down the best spa experience I’ve ever had. The whole atmosphere of Momiji is so peaceful, and all the staff are so sweet. We booked the Touch of Zen package and it was absolutely worth the money, I would love to come back and do it again. I was so relaxed that I was falling asleep during the facial. Definitely book an appointment here if you have extra time in Aonang!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
