GAIA Kitchen & Bar
Nestled in the heart of Ao Nang, GAIA Kitchen & Bar occupies an open, airy space surrounded by greenery that creates a distinctly peaceful atmosphere away from the busier stretches of the tourist strip. The setting strikes a balance between casual and considered — comfortable enough to linger over a long lunch, yet polished enough for an evening dinner. It is part of the Pakasai Resort property, giving it a resort-quality environment that walk-in visitors and hotel guests alike can enjoy. The menu caters to a range of tastes, offering both traditional Thai dishes and international options — a practical detail for travelling couples or groups with varying preferences. Visitors consistently highlight the flavour and presentation of the signature dishes, and the attentive service adds to the overall experience. Staff are noted for being genuinely helpful with recommendations, which is useful for first-time visitors unsure where to start. GAIA Kitchen & Bar is open every day from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, making it a flexible option whether you are stopping in after a morning on the beach or winding down after an island-hopping day. Given its popularity and central Ao Nang location, visiting during mid-afternoon — after the lunch rush and before the dinner crowd — tends to offer a more relaxed pace. Checking the Pakasai website in advance is worthwhile for any updates on reservations or current menu offerings.

Visitor Reviews
We had such an incredible lunch at GAIA Kitchen & Bar during our stay in Krabi 🥰 The setting is beautiful - open, airy, surrounded by greenery, and really peaceful. It’s the kind of place where you instantly want to slow down and enjoy your time! The menu has a great mix of Thai and international dishes, and we loved that many ingredients are locally sourced. Everything looked fresh and colourful. The Cheese Stick Soufflé with Truffle and Cauliflower Tempura were great starters. The Kurobuta Pork Chop was cooked perfectly, and the Pad Thai with Prawn (wrapped in egg) was honestly one of the best I’ve had in Thailand. We finished with the French Lemon Tart Deconstructed, which was light and refreshing — the perfect ending. Overall, a truly standout meal in a beautiful setting. Would happily come back 💛🦐🌿✨
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here — comfortable, relaxing, and beautifully designed. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease the moment you sit down. The food was an absolute surprise — in the best way possible! Every dish I tried was full of creativity and flavor. The combination of Thai and French styles worked perfectly together — elegant presentation, great balance of taste, and a clear sense of artistry in every plate. If I remember correctly, the chef is French, and you can truly feel that European touch in the details — from the plating to the sauces — yet it still carries the warm, bold character of Thai cuisine.🥰 ❤️A lovely spot for anyone who appreciates fine fusion food that goes beyond expectations.
After striving to find a good and clean restaurant we had a suggestion to come here and it was one of the best in Ao Nang. They have traditional and international options so that me and my partner could choose anything without worrying about what the other one found and could not eat. The food is very high quality and they are flexible to adapt to your needs. SO GOOD THAT WE REPEATED

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
