Tong Talay Seafood Buffet
Tong Talay is an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet in Ao Nang, around 3.5 kilometres from the beach, built around a hands-on dining format where guests choose from live and fresh seafood — including blue crab, prawns, oysters, sea bass, and horseshoe crab — then cook it themselves by grilling or boiling directly at the table. The dipping sauces are a particular draw, pairing well with the shellfish and whole fish on offer, and mango sticky rice rounds out the meal on the dessert side. The atmosphere is casual and well-suited to groups and families. Staff are attentive throughout the meal, helping crack harder shells and clearing debris between rounds, which keeps the experience relaxed even when the restaurant is busy. Pricing sits in the mid-range bracket, with visitors reporting buffet costs ranging from under 500 baht to around 800 baht per person depending on the selection tier — making it an accessible option for quality seafood dining without the cost of an upscale restaurant. The restaurant opens every day from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM with no weekly closures. Arriving close to opening time is advisable, both to secure a table and to access the freshest seafood before peak evening crowds arrive. Checking the Facebook page before visiting is recommended for current pricing, tier options, or any reservation details.

Visitor Reviews
Tong Talay Seafood Restaurant – Krabi Excellent value for money. 800 baht per person for an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet with an impressive selection. All the seafood was super fresh, great quality, and with plenty of choices. Fish, crabs, prawns, and more are cooked for you – grilled, steamed, or prepared the way you like. The service was very good, attentive and efficient, which made the experience even better. There’s a good selection of drinks available; please note the restaurant is halal, so alcohol is not served. Highly recommended if you love fresh seafood and want a satisfying, high-quality meal in Krabi.
The food here is all fantastic!! Seafood is so fresh like they just catch them from the sea. I love all of their seafood sauce especially when dipping with blue crabs, sea basses, big prawns, and horseshoe crabs. Oysters is also big and unbelievable tasty. I don’t expect I will find such a good seafood in small town. Thanks to google map who leads us here. Last Somtam is so delicious 😋
Incredible seafood buffet for under 500 baht. Everything from the shrimp to the oysters was super fresh. The waitress even opened my crab for me and kept the table spotless by clearing shells immediately. Top-tier service and 10/10 value. I even bring my own butter for seasoning

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
