Klong Haeng Saturday Market
Held every Saturday evening near the mosque in the Klong Haeng area of Ao Nang, this community market draws a genuine local crowd alongside visitors looking for an authentic slice of everyday Krabi life. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, with densely packed but manageable stalls selling a wide variety of goods across a spacious walking area — making it one of the more comfortable evening markets to browse in the region. Food is a clear highlight, with vendors offering crispy fried chicken, local sweet treats, Thai snacks, and drinks at prices that reflect a local rather than tourist market. Clothing, fresh produce, and handicrafts fill out the stalls, and English is understood well enough by most vendors that communication is straightforward for international visitors. Good to know: The market runs only on Saturdays from 3 PM to 7 PM, so planning ahead is essential. Arriving between 3 PM and 5 PM is advisable — popular food stalls can sell out before closing time. The evening start time keeps things cooler than daytime markets. Cash is necessary, as card payments are not accepted at stalls. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and bringing a bag for purchases will make browsing easier.

Visitor Reviews
For very good price, best local food and drinks.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit the Saturday Klong Haeng Market in Krabi, and it was a lively and enjoyable experience that reflected the local lifestyle very well. The market becomes especially vibrant in the late afternoon and evening, when both local residents and visitors gather to shop, eat, and socialise. The atmosphere was energetic yet friendly, with music, conversations, and the aroma of freshly cooked food filling the air. One of the highlights of the market was the wide variety of food stalls. I saw many types of street food, including grilled meat, seafood, traditional Thai snacks, desserts, and refreshing drinks. The prices were affordable, and the food was freshly prepared, which made it very appealing. In addition to food, there were stalls selling clothes, accessories, handmade products, and everyday items, making the market practical as well as entertaining. What impressed me most was the sense of community. Many vendors were locals, and they were polite and welcoming, often engaging in friendly conversations with customers. Families, teenagers, and tourists all seemed to enjoy the relaxed environment. Overall, visiting the Saturday Klong Haeng Market was a memorable experience. It offered more than just shopping; it provided insight into local culture and daily life in Krabi. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience an authentic and lively local market.
There are a few local markets in Klong Haeng during the week, but this Saturday market near the mosque is my favorite one. There are a lot of stalls and there is a lot of space to walk too. Unfortunately the traffic is very poorly arranged during the market hours.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
