Why go, and how to do it well
Saltwater hot springs are rare anywhere, and this is the one in Thailand people mean when they say it. The water comes out naturally salty and naturally hot, somewhere in the 40–45°C range, filling a set of pools ringed by mangrove. It doesn't feel like a spa. It feels like a well-kept community bathing spot that happens to sit on something geologically unusual, and the reviews from people who've soaked here read more like onsen notes than tourist notes.
Pools are divided up family-style, so you're not sharing with strangers. You bathe fully clothed, which keeps things easy. Two of the ponds are off-limits for bathing, and they're the interesting ones to look at: mineral formations on the bottom like a miniature cave floor, with air bubbles rising through. There are gender-separated shower rooms, step-free access, and traditional massage on site if you want to extend the visit.

Reviews from Google
I had the opportunity to visit Nampu Ron Khem Klong Thom in Krabi, and it was a very relaxing and memorable experience. The hot spring contains naturally heated, salty mineral water, which felt extremely soothing, especially after a long day. What I enjoyed most was the peaceful atmosphere, as the area is surrounded by trees and feels very close to nature. The place is well maintained but not overly commercial, which made the experience more authentic. Spending time there helped me reduce stress and feel mentally refreshed. Overall, it was a unique experience that allowed me to appreciate both the natural beauty and the health benefits of Krabi’s hot springs.
It’s just like an onsen experience just that it’s in Thailand. My body thanked me for the dip. Place is clean and there’s locals only. I had a peaceful time. One of the pool has the whole ecosystem within. If you look at it carefully you’ll notice photosynthesis is in progress. It’s worth my 200thb.
The only naturally occurring saltwater hot spring in Thailand and one of a few in the world. The ponds are surrounded by the mangrove forest. The temperatures are between 40-45 degree Celsius. At the bottom of two ponds in particular look like a miniature of stalagmite caves. Air bubbles pop up from the bottom of these ponds, awesome. You are not allowed to bathe in these 2 ponds. Entry fees are dual pricing systems, one for Thais and more expensive for foreigners. There are parking fees as well.
