Royal Palm Spa
Situated in the heart of Ao Nang, Royal Palm Spa has earned a strong reputation among travellers seeking skilled, attentive therapists and a genuinely calming environment. The spa specialises in traditional Thai massage alongside a broader range of therapeutic and beauty treatments, making it a practical choice for visitors looking to unwind after long days exploring Krabi's beaches and limestone trails. Individual therapists — including Duen, Tim, Grace, and Nang — are frequently praised by name in visitor reviews for their intuitive technique, well-calibrated pressure, and ability to put first-time Thai massage recipients at ease. The interior creates a tranquil setting, with some treatment areas featuring windows that look out into natural surroundings. The combination of professional service and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere suits both solo travellers and couples booking treatments together. The team has shown a willingness to accommodate last-minute requests, though availability naturally varies depending on the time of year. Good to know: Royal Palm Spa opens daily from 10:00 to 23:00, which makes it straightforward to schedule a treatment around dinner or evening plans. During Krabi's peak tourist season, booking ahead through the spa's website is advisable to secure a preferred therapist or time slot. Arriving a few minutes early gives time to complete any intake paperwork and settle in before a session begins.

Visitor Reviews
My experience with Duen at Royal Palm Spa was absolutely unforgettable. From the very first moment, I felt welcomed and cared for. Duen has such a gentle, intuitive touch — her massage was deeply relaxing, sensitive, and wonderfully soothing. She makes you feel like a queen. The experience is thoughtful from beginning to end: your feet are carefully washed before the treatment, you are served delicious tea, and the room is set to the perfect temperature with beautifully calming music. I especially loved that I could choose my own massage oil, which made it feel even more personal and luxurious. This was truly the best massage of my entire Thailand vacation. Thank you, Duen, for such a magical and restorative experience. I will never forget it!
Even though I called in late, they were quick enough to accommodate my request and got an appointment for me and my wife. My wife and I had a wonderful massage session, and Nang was absolutely amazing. I opted for a back and foot massage, and she quickly identified all my pain points within minutes. Her technique was precise, confident, and very professional. You can clearly tell she knows exactly what she’s doing. The pressure was perfect, and she focused on the areas that really needed attention. I walked out feeling completely relaxed and relieved. Highly recommend Nang if you’re visiting. Truly one of the best massage experiences I’ve had.
This was my first Thai massage ever and it was INCREDIBLE. I went in unsure if I would like it and it was the BEST experience. They had great ambiance with windows looking out into nature. The beds were super comfy and my body felt younger afterwards. I had Paula as my massage therapist and she was incredible! Super polite and you could tell she's a pro at what she does. I'll for sure be going back while I'm out here!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
