The ii Spa
Nestled within the InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping, The ii Spa brings a refined wellness experience to one of Chiang Mai's most iconic hotels. The space blends modern design with a distinctly Thai atmosphere, creating an environment that feels both polished and deeply calming from the moment guests arrive. Visitors can expect attentive, professional therapists who tailor treatments to individual needs, checking in on pressure preferences and ensuring a genuinely personalised experience. Signature offerings include body scrubs and golden massages, with therapists noted for their skill in delivering deeply relaxing results. The treatment rooms are appointed with a curated selection of massage oils, each with natural, soothing scents that complement the overall atmosphere. Reception staff have also drawn praise for their warmth and professionalism, contributing to a seamless experience throughout. As a spa within an international luxury hotel, The ii Spa is well-suited to both hotel guests and outside visitors seeking a premium wellness treatment in central Chiang Mai. It sits on Sridonchai Road in the Chang Khlan area, close to the Night Bazaar, making it a convenient stop when exploring that part of the city. Given that this is a newer facility with growing demand, booking in advance is advisable, particularly during peak tourist season between November and February. Requesting a specific therapist by name is also an option worth considering based on visitor feedback.

Visitor Reviews
I just had the most relaxing and refreshing time at The II Spa, InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping. 💖 Honestly, it was soooo amazing — exactly what I needed! 🌿✨ A huge thank you to Khun Napa, my therapist, who was not only super professional and attentive but also knew exactly how much pressure to use. It felt absolutely perfect from start to finish. 💆♀️💖 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had — I can’t recommend it enough!
A beautiful new addition to the city! I recently visited the newly opened Spa & Massage, The ii Spa at InterContinental Chiang Mai and was impressed by the serene and modern Thai atmosphere. The therapists are well-trained and professional; my massage was incredibly soft, smooth, and relaxing. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking for a premium but prefer to pay higher price (~2000++ per 1.5 hours) tranquil escape in Chiang Mai.
Paula is amazing!! I had a lovely scrub and golden massage that was perfect. She checked to make sure I was happy with the pressure and I was. I would ask for her again 🤩 And Pahmy the Receptionist was so helpful and kind in preparing me for the massage ☺️

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
