Zen Sense Massage & Spa Loi kroh
Situated on the lively Loi Kroh Road in central Chiang Mai, Zen Sense Massage & Spa draws visitors seeking genuine therapeutic treatments rather than a rushed tourist experience. The spa specialises in traditional Thai massage, deep tissue massage, and aroma oil treatments, with visitors regularly noting that the quality of the therapists sets it apart from comparable venues in the area. The clean, well-maintained space strikes a calm atmosphere that contrasts pleasantly with the busy street outside.
Treatments are carried out by professional therapists, some of whom speak conversational English, and guests are provided with loose-fitting clothing for their session. The deep tissue massage has received particular praise for being genuinely effective rather than superficial, and the aroma oil massage is a popular choice for those unwinding after a long day of travel or work. Pricing is considered fair relative to the quality on offer, especially when compared to hotel spa rates in the city.
The spa operates every day from 10:00 AM through to 12:30 AM, making it one of the more accessible options in Chiang Mai for travellers with packed daytime itineraries or those who prefer a late-evening session. Booking in advance is advisable during peak tourist periods, particularly for evening slots. The Loi Kroh Road location also makes it easy to pair a visit with dinner or a browse through the nearby Night Bazaar.

Reviews from Google
I’ve had massages all over Thailand and this one was one of the best. Very clean and new location, absolutely excellent masseuse and very friendly and did speak some English. A little more expensive as some others at 450BT for an hour Thai massage but also cheaper than many others in the center of town. See was a five star masseuse 🌟
After a long and exhausting workday, I came here to relax. I chose the aroma oil massage, and it was absolutely wonderful! Many thanks to the kind and cheerful therapist May for such a pleasant experience and complete relaxation.
I got a traditional Thai massage. I was given loose fitting shorts and shirt to change into for the massage. The staff were very professional and I felt very comfortable. I enjoyed the massage and plan to come back again during my stay in Chiang Mai.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
