Red Sky
Perched high above Rama I Road in the Pathum Wan district, Red Sky sits atop the Centara Grand hotel and offers one of Bangkok's most striking rooftop bar experiences. The panoramic views of the city skyline are a clear drawcard, with the after-dark cityscape drawing particular praise from visitors. The venue functions as both a bar and restaurant, making it suitable for a full dining experience or evening drinks, with service that guests consistently describe as attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The atmosphere leans sophisticated without feeling stiff — families, couples, and solo travellers all feature in visitor accounts, suggesting the venue handles different group types well. Cocktails and quality spirits are the focus at the bar, while the restaurant side offers a full dining menu. The Rama I Road location is convenient for those already exploring the central Bangkok shopping and entertainment precinct, including Siam and CentralWorld. Good to know: Reservations are recommended, particularly for weekend evenings. Arriving around sunset allows guests to catch the transition from daylight to the illuminated skyline, which tends to be a highlight. If booking through a third-party deals platform, be aware that some visitors have noted inconsistencies in how those reservations are handled compared to direct bookings. Smart casual attire is appropriate for the venue's upscale positioning — avoid beachwear or overly casual clothing.

Visitor Reviews
We had the pleasure of dining at Red Sky Rooftop Restaurant twice during our stay in Bangkok, and both evenings were truly unforgettable. Visiting as a family, we were immediately impressed by the breathtaking panoramic views over the city skyline. Watching Bangkok light up at night from this rooftop is an experience in itself. The ambience at Red Sky is elegant yet relaxed, making it a perfect place for both special occasions and a memorable family dinner. The atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance between luxury and warmth, allowing everyone to feel comfortable while still enjoying a high-end dining experience. Of course, the food deserves special mention. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in each course clearly reflect the high standards of the kitchen. From start to finish, our meals were consistently excellent. What truly made our evenings exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. On both occasions, we were looked after by a waitress named Night, and she made our visits absolutely perfect. Night was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, with a genuine warmth that made us feel very welcome. She anticipated our needs, explained the menu with care, and always made sure everything was just right for our family. Her service elevated an already fantastic experience to something truly special. In summary, Red Sky is more than just a rooftop restaurant with a great view—it is a place where atmosphere, cuisine, and service come together seamlessly. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok, and we would gladly return again. A special thank you to Night for making our evenings so memorable.
An Unforgettable Night at Red Sky Rooftop Bar We had a wonderful experience at Red Sky Rooftop Bar. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning — breathtaking views of the Bangkok skyline, especially at night when the city lights come alive. The service truly stood out. The servers were incredibly attentive and helpful with both food and drink selections. One server in particular, Som Bank, went out of her way to help us order an item that wasn’t even on the menu. Her effort, kindness, and professionalism made our evening even more special. My wife enjoyed a beautifully crafted cocktail, while I had two Corona beers and a Macallan 12 Scotch. Everything was perfectly presented and served with great attention to detail. Watching the skyline with a good drink in hand made the night even more memorable. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic evening or special occasion. Highly recommend making a reservation if you want a prime seating area. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Bangkok.
I discovered the Red Sky rooftop by chance and decided to visit. Even though I made an online reservation for 8:00 PM, they kindly accommodated us early around 6:00 PM, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful sunset. We ordered a package that included three types of food and unlimited mocktails. Over the course of 1.5 hours, we enjoyed four deliciously crafted mocktails. The stunning night view of Bangkok, paired with great music and a wonderful atmosphere, made the experience unforgettable. The staff were incredibly beautiful, handsome, and attentive. I would like to extend a special thank you to Ying Ying for her exceptional kindness and excellent service!
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
