Platinum Fashion Mall Food Court
Perched on the 6th floor of Platinum Mall 2 in Bangkok's bustling Pratunam neighbourhood, this food court draws a steady mix of shoppers and tourists with a wide spread of Thai dishes served across individual vendor stalls. The self-service setup encourages diners to mix and match, with standout options including crispy pork belly, beef noodle soup, pad thai, tom yam, fried egg oyster, and pork leg rice — the kind of straightforward, satisfying cooking that makes Bangkok food courts a genuine dining highlight. Portions tend toward the generous side, and the atmosphere is lively but noticeably less crowded than some of the city's busier food courts. Prices run higher than comparable venues elsewhere in Bangkok — some visitors note costs three to four times those at Pier 21 in Terminal 21 — so it is worth factoring in if budget is a priority. The trade-off is a more relaxed environment and food that consistently earns praise, particularly the crispy pork belly. Good to know: The food court operates on a cashless prepaid card system. Diners purchase a cash card at the cashier before ordering, with a minimum top-up of 300 THB. Any unused balance is fully refundable, so there is no risk in loading more than needed. The food court is open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, making it a practical stop for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner during a day of shopping at Platinum Mall.

Food court here is self-help, we need to buy the Cash Card (min 300THB) at the cashier before order our food, the Cash Card balance is refundable. We ordered various food to try on and with just around 6xxTHB we could try 6 different food and all is so authentic and delicious. I visited Bangkok so many times I still find this food court is my favorite meal place in BKK Pratunamd is a must place to go for me.
Hands down to the one of the best crispy pork bellies I’ve had in Thailand seriously, in a food court?! 🤯 skin is incredibly crispy, beautifully fragrant, and the meat super tender and juicy. Totally unexpected for a food-court stall. And try the mini custard cakes! great quality food at truly affordable prices

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
