Come for the view and stay for the evening, because this is a rooftop that runs late without turning into a club. It sits high above Thanon Ratchadamri in Pathum Wan, which is about as central as Bangkok gets, and the appeal is simple, with open air, city lights, a drink in hand once the heat has dropped out of the day.
Doors open at 6pm every night and it goes through to 2am, so you've got two very different bars in one. Early on it's quiet enough to talk and you'll get your pick of seats along the edge. By 10 or 11 it fills up and the energy shifts. I'd aim for the first hour if you want the view to yourself, or later if you want the buzz. It works as a dinner spot too, not just drinks, so plan accordingly rather than eating first and turning up stuffed.
