Chao Phraya Princess
Departing from Piers 2 and 4 at the ICONSIAM shopping complex in Khlong San, Chao Phraya Princess runs evening dinner cruises along one of Bangkok's most iconic waterways. The experience pairs an international buffet with live cultural entertainment, centred on a traditional Khon masked dance performance — a classical Thai art form that draws consistent praise from visitors. As the vessel moves along the river after dark, passengers are treated to views of illuminated temple spires, the Grand Palace, and the broader Bangkok skyline reflected across the water, creating an atmosphere that works well both as a standalone evening out and as an introduction to the city's riverside character. Onboard, guests can move freely between air-conditioned indoor cabins and open-air deck areas, making it easy to alternate between dining, watching the entertainment, and photographing the riverbanks. The atmosphere is lively without feeling rushed, and the cruise draws a mixed crowd of international travellers and local families. The buffet leans toward broad variety and has received positive mentions from visitors including those with Indian food preferences, suggesting reasonable range across the spread. Good to know: The booking office operates daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and evening departures tend to fill quickly during Bangkok's high season, which runs roughly from November through February. Booking in advance through the official website at chaophrayaprincess.com is the most reliable way to secure a preferred slot. Those sensitive to air conditioning may want to bring a light layer for time spent inside the vessel.

Chao Phraya Princess Cruise – A Magical Evening in Bangkok! Had an absolutely amazing experience on the Chao Phraya Princess Cruise! It’s one of the most beautiful ways to enjoy the stunning night view of Bangkok city while having dinner on a luxurious cruise boat. Watching the illuminated skyline, historic temples, and iconic landmarks along the Chao Phraya River felt truly mesmerizing. The dinner buffet offered a wonderful variety of international (Thai) and Indian cuisine, catering perfectly to all taste buds. The food was well-maintained, fresh, and delicious, with plenty of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The staff made sure everything was well organized and that guests had a pleasant dining experience. The cruise lasts for around two hours, giving you ample time to relax, enjoy your meal, and capture beautiful photos. Every corner of the ship offers a different scenic angle of the Bangkok skyline, so it’s perfect for those who love photography or just want to soak in the views. Adding to the charm of the evening were the live performances — from soulful singing to energetic dancing, the entertainment kept everyone engaged and added a festive vibe to the whole experience. Overall, the Chao Phraya Princess Cruise is an unmissable experience when in Bangkok. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or a partner, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a memorable evening with great food, music, and breathtaking river views. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the magic of Bangkok by night!
Dinner on the Chao Phraya Princess was a wonderful experience. Cruising along the Chao Phraya River at night, with Bangkok’s illuminated skyline on both sides, created a truly memorable atmosphere. The dinner buffet offered a good variety of dishes, and the food quality was satisfying. The live music added great energy to the evening and made the cruise even more enjoyable. The staff were polite, well-organized, and attentive throughout the journey. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable way to experience Bangkok at night. Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone looking to enjoy dinner with a beautiful river view.
Amazing experience! The cruise is definitely a highlight for a Bangkok vacation. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. The show is also good. The cruise worth it's value. My recommendations is to get a few hour before to the Iconsiam mall since traffic in Bangkok is terrific. We missed our reservation due to the traffic. We were able to reschedule for the next day, with an extra cost of 200 baht per person.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
