Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar
Perched high above Sukhumvit Road in the Watthana district, Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar draws locals and travellers alike with its sweeping 360-degree views of the Bangkok skyline. The sunset vantage point is a particular drawcard, with the open-air setting offering an unobstructed panorama that stretches across the city in every direction. Regular live DJ sets add energy to the atmosphere as the evening progresses, making it a natural progression from sundowner drinks into a fuller night out. The drinks menu leans into creative cocktails, and the food offering goes beyond standard bar snacks — dishes like burrata with cherry tomatoes have earned praise from visitors for their freshness and quality. The overall experience sits firmly in the upscale category, with a stylish, well-maintained setting and staff consistently noted for attentiveness and friendliness. A practical note for anyone planning a visit: Octave operates a minimum spend policy of 1,800 THB per person, so it is worth factoring this into the budget before arriving. The bar opens daily at 17:00, and arriving close to opening time is advisable for those wanting to secure a good spot for sunset. Reservations can be made through the venue's website, which is recommended on weekends when demand for rooftop seating is higher. Smart casual dress is standard for venues of this level in Bangkok.

Visitor Reviews
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Octave. The highlight was definitely the sunset views—they are simply indescribable and easily some of the best in Bangkok. For our meal, we both had the Double Smash Burger with cheese, served with perfectly crispy French fries and two different types of dips. The burgers were delicious and highly recommended! We also enjoyed a round of cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), which were expertly crafted. One thing to keep in mind regarding the pricing structure: even if you are dining at the restaurant, there is a separate entry fee for the rooftop bar area. It is 600 THB (which includes a beer or a glass of Prosecco) or 650 THB if you prefer a cocktail. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food and a magical atmosphere. We would definitely come back!
I had such a fantastic time at Octave Rooftop Lounge! 🌆 The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was simply breathtaking with those stunning city views. ✨ I'll definitely be back for another amazing experience! 💯 I'd recommend grabbing dinner on the 45th floor, then heading to the 49th floor for drinks! They have a DJ playing music.
Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar is an incredible rooftop spot, offering a stunning sunset and exceptional drinks. It’s one of the best places in Bangkok to watch the sun go down right in the heart of the city, surrounded by beautiful buildings and an impressive skyline. The cocktails are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I truly enjoyed the entire experience and highly recommend it.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
