Rabbit Hole
Tucked behind an easy-to-miss wooden door along Soi Thong Lo, this upscale cocktail bar has built a following among Bangkok's nightlife crowd for its distinctive entry experience and an inventive drinks menu that leans into unexpected, often savoury flavour combinations. Signature cocktails named after cities — Tokyo, Mexico City — sit alongside bolder experiments like vegemite-laced concoctions, making the menu a talking point in itself. It draws a lively mix of Bangkok locals and international visitors looking for something a step above the standard bar experience in one of the city's most fashionable districts. Inside, expect low lighting, music that regulars tend to appreciate, and a compact room that fills up fast and generates real energy as the night progresses. Staff are notably attentive and move quickly even when the bar is at capacity, which softens the effect of the tight space. The crowd skews stylish without being stiff, and the overall atmosphere leans more towards fun and social than precious or exclusive. Good to know: Rabbit Hole opens at 7 PM every night of the week and runs through to 2 AM, so there is flexibility on timing — though arriving earlier on weekends is the practical move if you want a seat without a wait. Prices sit at the higher end compared to other well-regarded Bangkok bars, so it is worth factoring that into the evening's budget. The entrance can be genuinely difficult to spot from the street, so checking the website at rabbitholebkk.com before heading out saves time. Smart casual fits the setting.

Little hidden gem along ThongLor road. Will walk past it if you don’t pay attention. Low lighting bar with an extensive cocktail menu. Had the Tokyo and the Mexico City cocktails. I thought the Mexico City was the nicer tasting one. So I would recommend that one instead. There aren’t any food options so best to eat before or after. Good for a quick tasty cocktail.
Rabbit Hole was a whole vibe. From the secret wooden door entrance, you already know something fun is about to happen. The music? On point. The crowd? Cute. The cocktails? Dangerous (in the best way). Every drink was creative bold and way too easy to finish. Honestly, “just one glass” is a lie here 🥃
Cool small bar. Cocktails are not really breathtaking but vibes are good. Staff is nice. Prices are a tad bit higher than other famous bars. I’m not sure what “Top 50 bar in Asia” hype is about, there are certainly better cocktails in Bangkok.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
