ARISE Rooftop Bar - Nimman
Perched above the Amanor Hotel on Nimmanahaeminda Road, this rooftop bar and restaurant sits at the heart of Chiang Mai's Nimman district, drawing visitors with its glass-sided pool, sweeping city views, and cocktails mixed to order at the bar. The combination of a proper pool, comfortable lounge seating, and a kitchen serving food makes it a more versatile stop than a typical rooftop bar. The atmosphere leans relaxed and social, with comfy couches and an open-air setting that stays comfortable into the evening. Cocktails are a clear draw — regulars note that drinks are made fresh to order rather than poured from pre-mixed batches, and the bar staff receive consistent praise by name in visitor reviews. Food is also available, making it a workable choice for those wanting a full evening in one place rather than moving between venues. Good to know: the venue opens daily at 3 PM and runs until 1 AM, giving visitors flexibility across the evening. Arriving around sunset is worthwhile if views are a priority, as the rooftop position makes for a solid vantage point as the city transitions from afternoon to evening light. Those interested in the pool should plan accordingly and check any current access arrangements with the venue directly before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. This time we sat on the rooftop , it was peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for chilling with friends. The food was delicious, and we were taken care of by a bar staff named Oat and Oreo, who was very attentive and provided excellent service. He also recommended great drinks and dishes. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back again!
We have spent the past 3 evenings on Arise rooftop bar above Amanor Hotel. Oat (the resident bartender) certainly knows how to mix great drinks served with a smile to the table by the lovely Ploy. We have one more night in Chiang Mai tomorrow. Perhaps 2 more Burnt Lemon Margaritas for the rd before our flight South. Thanks guys.
Great cocktails and view - the best so far in Chiang Mai. All cocktails made to order: no pre-mixed cocktails in sight (as opposed to the Melia rooftop bar where no cocktails were actually mixed to order). Highly recommend.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
