Emporium
Emporium is an established luxury shopping mall on Sukhumvit Road in the Khlong Toei district, sitting directly across from its sister complex EmQuartier. Housing an impressive lineup of high-end international brands — including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Giorgio Armani — it caters primarily to shoppers seeking designer fashion, accessories, and lifestyle goods in an elegant, well-maintained environment. Smartly dressed doormen greet visitors at the entrance, and the immaculate interior maintains a polished, upscale atmosphere throughout. While the focus is firmly on luxury retail, the mall also offers a range of dining options where visitors can pause between boutiques. The overall experience leans refined rather than chaotic, making it a more relaxed alternative to Bangkok's larger, busier shopping complexes. Facilities are thoughtfully equipped, including a prayer room with separate spaces for men and women, a proper wudhu area, and sarongs available for those dressed in shorts — a considerate touch for Muslim visitors. Good to know: Emporium is directly accessible via the BTS Skytrain at Phrom Phong station, making it straightforward to reach from most parts of Bangkok. Weekday afternoons tend to be quieter than evenings and weekends. Visitors intending to browse the full complex should allow ample time, as the boutiques reward unhurried exploration.

Visitor Reviews
⭐️ Emporium – classic, convenient, and upscale 🛍️ Located just across from EmQuartier, Emporium is slightly older but still elegant. It offers a good selection of international brands and has several nice restaurants. It feels more traditional and calm compared to EmQuartier, making it a comfortable place to shop without too much hustle and bustle. A good spot for quality shopping and a more relaxed mall experience.
High end shopping mall selling luxury goods, smartly dressed doorman salutes you as you enter. Mall is spotlessly clean. Many top brands have shops here; Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Georgio Armani to name but a few. Also Gourmet Food market and Eats. Premium products at premium prices, it's the other end of the spectrum MBK mall. Cinema on the top floor.
A small but comfortable mushola with a proper wudhu area and separate spaces for men and women. Sarongs are provided if you’re wearing shorts, which is very convenient. The mushola is air-conditioned and well maintained. Located on the 2nd floor, just outside the exit doors near the parking area. Overall, a clean and practical prayer space.
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
