Emporium
One of Bangkok's established upscale shopping destinations, this well-maintained mall on Sukhumvit Road draws visitors with its polished atmosphere and strong lineup of high-end international brands. Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Giorgio Armani are among the boutiques housed within its elegant interior, which maintains a noticeably clean and refined environment throughout. Smartly dressed doormen greet visitors at the entrance, setting the tone for the upscale experience inside. Sitting directly across from its sister complex EmQuartier, Emporium offers a slightly more relaxed alternative to Bangkok's larger and busier malls, making it a comfortable choice for unhurried browsing. Beyond retail, the mall includes several dining options where visitors can pause for a meal between boutiques. The overall atmosphere leans toward calm and spacious rather than hectic, which many visitors find appealing. Good to know: Emporium is directly accessible via the BTS Skytrain at Phrom Phong station, making it easy to reach from most parts of Bangkok. Muslim visitors will find a well-equipped prayer room with separate spaces for men and women, a proper wudhu area, and sarongs available for those wearing shorts. Weekday afternoons are generally quieter than evenings and weekends for those who prefer a more leisurely visit.

Visitor Reviews
⭐️ Emporium – classic, convenient, and upscale 🛍️ Located just across from EmQuartier, Emporium is slightly older but still elegant. It offers a good selection of international brands and has several nice restaurants. It feels more traditional and calm compared to EmQuartier, making it a comfortable place to shop without too much hustle and bustle. A good spot for quality shopping and a more relaxed mall experience.
High end shopping mall selling luxury goods, smartly dressed doorman salutes you as you enter. Mall is spotlessly clean. Many top brands have shops here; Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Georgio Armani to name but a few. Also Gourmet Food market and Eats. Premium products at premium prices, it's the other end of the spectrum MBK mall. Cinema on the top floor.
A small but comfortable mushola with a proper wudhu area and separate spaces for men and women. Sarongs are provided if you’re wearing shorts, which is very convenient. The mushola is air-conditioned and well maintained. Located on the 2nd floor, just outside the exit doors near the parking area. Overall, a clean and practical prayer space.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
