Kora Beach Resort Phuket

4.4(603 reviews)

Kora Beach Resort sits in the Cherngtalay area of Phuket's Thalang district, positioning itself as a peaceful alternative to the island's busier southern zones. As a relatively new property, it draws guests with its elegant interiors, well-maintained facilities, and a reputation for attentive, professional service. The beach is located just across the street, and the resort runs a complimentary shuttle service to Bang Tao Beach in the afternoons and evenings, making it easy to access one of Phuket's most popular stretches of coastline without being in the thick of it. The atmosphere here leans toward relaxed and refined rather than lively and social. Guests consistently highlight the cleanliness of the property and the warmth of the staff, with particular praise for how the team handles arrivals and attends to guest needs. The resort suits couples, families, and anyone looking for a calm coastal base with easy access to Phuket's northern beaches and proximity to Phuket International Airport. Good to know: Cherngtalay falls under the influence of the southwest monsoon, so the wettest months run from May to October. Visiting between November and April gives the best chance of dry, sunny beach weather. Dining and nightlife options within walking distance are more limited than in central Phuket, so guests who prefer variety nearby may want to factor in transport. Prospective guests should also note that some room configurations have been flagged by reviewers as unconventional in layout, so checking room details on the resort's website before booking is worthwhile.

Visitor Reviews

I had a wonderful stay at Kora Beach Resort. The location is great — the beach is just across the street, and the hotel offers a free shuttle every afternoon and evening into the busy Bang Tao Beach area, which made exploring so much easier. The receptionist and staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and tidied every single day. I also loved that each room has a balcony with a drying rack, which ended up being surprisingly useful for swimsuits and beachwear. The breakfast buffet is spectacular, with plenty of variety and fresh options each morning. You also get four free bottles of water daily and a welcome plate of fruit, which is such a thoughtful touch. One tip: definitely download the hotel’s app. It makes communication and requests much smoother. Overall, Kora Beach Resort is a great place to stay — comfortable, convenient, and supported by a genuinely kind team.

Our stay at Kora Beach Resort was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and perfectly located for a peaceful beach getaway. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed to make guests feel comfortable and welcomed. What truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. A special mention goes to Karn, who is an incredibly cute, friendly, and professional assistant. She was always smiling, very helpful, and made us feel genuinely cared for. It was such a nice surprise that she speaks a bit of German as well, which made communication even more pleasant and personal. The service throughout the resort was outstanding, and you can really feel the attention to detail and hospitality in every interaction. We felt relaxed, well taken care of, and already miss the atmosphere. Highly recommended — we would absolutely love to come back again!

This hotel feels like a hidden gem. We arrived at late night with kids fall asleep on her poor small travel stroller, and my parents’ exhaustion can be seen on face. The manager saw us and offered a room upgrade so that we could stay with more comfort. The hotel is so new and staff are friendly and helpful. The kids club staff is my favorite. They have arrange activities like every hour during different week days. My 3 year old just wanted to stay there rather than going to the beach. Highly recommended to anyone who is considering a family hotel in the region

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
