Kora Beach Resort Phuket

I had a wonderful stay at Kora Beach Resort. The location is great — the beach is just across the street, and the hotel offers a free shuttle every afternoon and evening into the busy Bang Tao Beach area, which made exploring so much easier. The receptionist and staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and tidied every single day. I also loved that each room has a balcony with a drying rack, which ended up being surprisingly useful for swimsuits and beachwear. The breakfast buffet is spectacular, with plenty of variety and fresh options each morning. You also get four free bottles of water daily and a welcome plate of fruit, which is such a thoughtful touch. One tip: definitely download the hotel’s app. It makes communication and requests much smoother. Overall, Kora Beach Resort is a great place to stay — comfortable, convenient, and supported by a genuinely kind team.

This hotel feels like a hidden gem. We arrived at late night with kids fall asleep on her poor small travel stroller, and my parents’ exhaustion can be seen on face. The manager saw us and offered a room upgrade so that we could stay with more comfort. The hotel is so new and staff are friendly and helpful. The kids club staff is my favorite. They have arrange activities like every hour during different week days. My 3 year old just wanted to stay there rather than going to the beach. Highly recommended to anyone who is considering a family hotel in the region

Even though the whole is new it doesn’t look or feel like it. Rooms which not only have a shower and toilet with no dividing door but also have a sink practically in the middle of the room, completely outside of the toilet right near what’s suppose to be a kitchen area. We had two rooms both of which smelled of chemicals and chlorine, the smell stayed on for days. Regarding food, the breakfast is below average taste wise and even more looks wise. Looks like a communal kitchen. The staff are not attentive, at one point we had 6 plates on our table and none of them were taken by staff. The food and drinks at the main bar are also average. The coffee does not tastes good and when asked for a fresh mixed berry smoothie which is on their menu, one of the barmen made the smoothie out of ice, water and a mix of sugary syrups. When asked why it’s not made from fresh berries they just said they didn’t have any berries. So instead of possibly suggesting a different smoothie which can be made out of fresh fruits they just gave an undrinkable liquid and charged a high price on top of it. Overall the experience has not been great. For a hotel which calls itself ‘new’ and ‘luxury’ it does not give off any of that.
