Anantara Layan Phuket Resort
Compare prices
Nestled on the secluded shores of Layan Beach in northern Phuket, this luxury beachfront resort offers a calm, elegant atmosphere that draws travellers seeking both relaxation and polished service. Villa-style accommodations, some with dedicated butler service, set the tone for a retreat that feels distinctly private and unhurried compared to busier stretches of the island. The resort consistently earns praise for its attentive, warm hospitality, with staff frequently recognised by guests for going above and beyond throughout their stay. The on-site restaurant Dara has made a strong impression on diners, with multiple guests describing their meals there as among the finest they have experienced. Beyond dining, the property features a spa, a well-equipped gym, and a range of activities that can be arranged through the tour desk. The resort also functions as a wedding and event venue, making it a popular choice for honeymoons and special occasions. Guests who hold loyalty status with the Anantara brand may be considered for room or villa upgrades, so it is worth noting your membership at the time of booking. The resort operates around the clock, and given its popularity for honeymoons and romantic getaways, booking well in advance is advisable, particularly during Phuket's dry season between November and April when demand is at its highest.

Visitor Reviews
We stayed at Anantara for our honeymoon, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere that made our trip feel incredibly special. The team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and their attention to detail was something we deeply appreciated. One of the highlights was the private romantic dinner they arranged for us on the beach — a beautifully intimate experience with perfect ambiance and amazing food. It was the kind of moment you never forget. The dining options across the hotel were outstanding as well. Zuma was absolutely amazing, with top-quality dishes and superb service. And the steak restaurant inside the hotel is a hidden jewel, offering great food, wonderful service, and stunning terrace views. Anantara exceeded all expectations and made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to return.
Exceptional experience at this stunning resort. Huge thanks and appreciation to all the staff, everyone was so helpful, welcoming, warm, and truly went above and beyond - whether at breakfast, dinner, water sports or exploring the resort. There’s so much to do and see, you don’t need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. Food was incredible, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Stayed for 4 days but wish I’d stayed for a week to experience more of this beautiful resort. Honestly couldn’t find fault with any of the experience and plan to return in future.
Exceptional sincere hospitality! A big thank you to Bruno, Singing, JoJo, Knight, Lina, Riva and 'The Wedding Ringer, Josh Gad' look alike for all the great service during our recent stay with you. We loved the morning breakfast selection at Breeze, the regular shots around the pool. The atmosphere and food and service at Zuma was amazing as well. Enjoyed a room up overlooking the resort compared to being closer to the pool, which can be noisy as they crank the music out at Zuma each night.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
