Eden by the Lake : Restaurant & Lounge in Boat Avenue, Phuket
Tucked into the popular Boat Avenue dining precinct in Cherngtalay, this lakeside restaurant and lounge has built a strong reputation for combining a relaxed tropical atmosphere with genuinely accomplished cooking. The waterfront setting comes into its own after dark, with warm decorative lighting, palm trees, and lake views creating a calm and inviting backdrop for dinner. A resident DJ adds to the ambiance on select evenings without overwhelming the mood, keeping the vibe social but unhurried.
The kitchen draws consistent praise for its grill-focused menu, with steaks and fresh prawns among the standout dishes. Portions are described by regulars as generous, and the kitchen shows flexibility — accommodating requests like a Thai spicy dipping sauce alongside otherwise Western-style dishes. Service is a recurring highlight across visitor feedback, with staff noted for attentiveness and warmth that elevates the overall experience beyond what the relaxed setting might suggest.
Eden by the Lake opens at 5 PM every day of the week and runs through midnight, making it well-suited for sunset drinks followed by a leisurely dinner. Boat Avenue sits within easy reach of the Laguna and Bang Tao area, so it fits naturally into an evening exploring the wider Cherngtalay strip. Reservations are worth considering, particularly during peak tourist season between November and April. Checking the website at edengrillphuket.com beforehand is useful for confirming current menus, event nights, or any changes to opening arrangements.

We keep coming back to Eden. Very good food, tasty, fresh and generous portions size 🥰 The service is excellent, the hostess is always lovely, friendly-she always making sure that we have a great experience dinner here. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, the seats are very comfortable & well decorated. Price is fair especially on Friday night where they have 50% off Another quality, friendly restaurant in Bangtao
This is a nice place for a classy dinner. All my food (prawns and steak) came out great! I was even offered an extra dipping sauce to try the Thai Spicy way. It was fantastic. I came by myself and it was fine, great place for a date or even a family to dine. Good view to top it all off. Highly recommended if debating between places in the area
We really enjoyed our time at Eden by the Lake, the vibe was very chill, the DJ was cool. The view of the lake was beautiful. Our server Kwanita was lovely, and made sure to cater to all our needs. The food was also really nice! I would recommend :)

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
