InterContinental Phuket Resort by IHG

4.8(3,581 reviews)

Service is what people remember here, and not in a vague way. Reviewers name the beach staff, the club lounge team, the front desk, the breakfast crew. That kind of consistency across a property this size is hard to fake, and it's the main reason I'd point families and honeymooners at Kamala rather than the louder stretches further south.

It's a large resort, five pools, several restaurants, a beachfront bar, and a stretch of Kamala Beach that stays fairly calm compared with Patong. Rooms come back clean and well kept in review after review, breakfast gets singled out often, and the Club rooms with sea views are the ones worth the upgrade. One real caveat: guests in some Club rooms have complained about a rumble from the pool pumps, bad enough that at least one had to be moved after a sleepless night. Ask to be placed away from the pool plant when you book, and say it again at check-in.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Phuket. I look forwa I had an exceptional stay at the InterContinental Phuket Resort. From the moment I arrived, the service was truly outstanding. Every team member was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. The food was equally impressive and beautifully presented, full of flavor, and crafted with great attention to detail. Each meal felt like a memorable dining experience especially at Tengoku and Sipping Tiger. The resort itself offers breathtaking views, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, combining comfort with elegance. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. What stood out most was the staff’s fairness and professionalism. They provided the same high level of service and hospitality to every guest, whether international or Thai, which truly reflects the heart of genuine hospitality.

Leo, Bee and Matti i were absolutely amazing! The beach service was the best and they worked extremely hard catering to all of us on the beach. Always with a smile and always polite. The entire hotel staff were a joy and super professional and kind. The food always came out quickly and delicious. The Hotel is extremely large and well kept. The rooms are very clean, definitely up to the high Thai standard. There are five pools and several restaurants serving a Variety of dishes. I enjoyed the atmosphere on the beach the most It was quiet and relaxing, even though it was a pretty busy beach. Again, thank you so much for the beach crew for making this vacation wonderful.

Stayed in a Club room with sea view. Room well kept and very comfortable. The big problem is that in the club rooms there is a rumbling noise coming from the pool pumps, I was told. They changed my room after a sleepless 1st night and although you can still hear the noise in the new room, it was much better. The rest was excellent including restaurants and service. A special thank you to K Best at the club lounge and the lady doing great coffees, that did not get her name. Kevin from the club Lounge was also very nice and helpful. Hope they can solve the noise problem because it is a shame being such a wonderful resort.
