DoublePool Villas by Banyan Tree Phuket

4.8(137 reviews)

Nestled in the Choeng Thale area of Thalang district, DoublePool Villas by Banyan Tree Phuket offers private villa-style accommodations under one of Asia's most recognised luxury hospitality brands. Each villa features double pools, giving guests the flexibility of separate swimming spaces within their own private residence — an arrangement that suits couples, families, and small groups equally well. The property also operates a dedicated wellness program under the Veya concept, incorporating spa treatments, wellness activities, and a holistic approach to the stay that sets it apart from a conventional luxury resort. Guests consistently highlight the personalised service, with dedicated butlers managing the details of each stay from arrival to departure. The Veya Pool Villas draw particular praise for their wellness-focused experience, where staff are described as going well beyond standard hospitality. Dining on-site receives strong marks, and the overall atmosphere leans toward serene and restorative rather than social or lively — making it well suited to travellers seeking genuine rest. Good to know: The property sits inland rather than on the beachfront, so guests who plan to spend time at the beach should arrange transportation in advance — the resort's butler service can assist with this. The Thalang area is well connected to Phuket's main attractions, restaurants, and services. Peak season runs from November through February, when Phuket's weather is at its most reliable; booking well ahead during this period is advisable given the villa-based format and limited inventory. The Veya wellness program may benefit from pre-arrival planning, as some activities and treatments are bookable in advance.

What a difference a year makes. Not only is Phuket up and running again, this hotel was back to how it should be. This year, we stayed in a Spa Pool Villa and it was truly exceptional. Luxury exemplified. The pool was huge, the spa pool attached to it was hot, the garden was tranquil. With the daily massages at the Spa, we were so relaxed. As usual, the breakfasts were something to behold. This year we didn't get one of the push bikes that are available at the hotel due to there being private parking in the Spa Villa area through a separate entrance for the Motorbike we hired. It was a shame that the Spa Pool Lounge wasn't operating yet as this would have added to the experience. The Villa itself was everything that you would expect, and in a lot better condition than the Lagoon Villa from last year and with the biggest water feature I've ever experienced! The bedroom with the three glass walls was a dream to wake up in. A huge resort with plenty of options to stay in and if you like golf the Phuket course is attached. Only one slight issue but this was resolved perfectly by the hotel management (Fabien). Finally, back to the massages, a special mention to two lovely ladies for giving the best I've had in years. Relaxing and invigorating all in on. Thank you Dureeyad, Kanoknit and Thong at Tre. Big recommendation for this place, lots happening outside of the hotel just a short distance away in town also. Just need to visit some other Banyan Tree hotels now to see if this is the norm.

I’ve never thought about my journey was such amazing. I only stayed for two nights and just realized that was too short when I checked out. The amenities are 10/10, foods are 10/10, the overall wellness package including consultation and classes are 10/10. Services 20/10!!!! In the Veya, I received many many friendly greetings from Banyan Tree staff everyday. They are so professional and friendly. I still remember after finishing the cooking class, my friend and I just mentioned the mango here is really good, then, we got the fruit plate prepared by Veya team during our lunch. Such a surprise which made my day. Also, everyday, they provide different drinks, the awakening and sleeping preparations, the greeting cards put in my room etc. Those surprises did touch my heart! Details can show how much attention the team paid to guests. All the things they prepared is beyond my expectations. There’s no exact word can tell my feeling. Incredible and amazing could just tell part of my days and nights. Please let me say thank you to each of Veya team, especially Fai!!!! I’ve already miss u! All the best to each member of the Veya team. Wish one day I can come back. Also wish everyone stay in Veya have a wonderful experience, they’re not gonna let u down. Be ready to start your vacation here :)

Excellent stay! We stayed in the Veya Pool Villa and loved the whole Veya experience. The customer service was impeccable, staff always went above and beyond. Elizabeth and Raj were our journey practitioners, both very supportive and accommodating. The room has little details which contribute to the well being journey. Cotton soft pillows, relaxing music on the speakers, turn down service with morning and night rituals .. the list goes on! All the classes included with the Veya experience were super fun and knowledgable. Can’t wait to go back, honestly you won’t be disappointed!

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
