Compare prices
Set within lush, tranquil grounds in Phuket's quieter northern Thalang district, this award-winning luxury resort draws guests seeking seclusion, personalised service, and a genuinely unhurried atmosphere. Private pool villas are a defining feature, combining spacious, well-appointed interiors with thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces that make them well suited to honeymooners, celebrating couples, and anyone prioritising privacy. The spa is a standout, consistently praised by guests for both the quality of treatments and the warmth of individual therapists. Breakfast service and day-to-day staff interactions receive equally strong mentions, with attentive, personalised touches appearing as a recurring theme across guest experiences. The resort caters well to special occasions, and it is notably the kind of property that brings guests back repeatedly — multiple visitors report returning five or more times. Good to know: The resort's location in northern Thalang places it closer to Phuket International Airport than many properties further south, which is a practical advantage for travellers with early departures or those moving between destinations. Peak season runs from November through February, when weather is at its best and occupancy is highest, so advance booking is strongly advisable for those travelling during this period. This property suits travellers prioritising seclusion and high-touch service rather than proximity to nightlife or busy beach strips.

Visitor Reviews
We had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Phuket. The resort is set in a lush and extremely peaceful environment, perfect for relaxing. Our private pool villa was spacious, very comfortable and perfectly maintained, with total privacy and high-quality bedding. The overall service was attentive, with friendly and professional staff throughout our stay. Breakfast was a real highlight — a huge variety of fresh products in a beautiful setting. For golfers, the location is ideal with Laguna Golf just next door. The course is superb, perfectly maintained and very easy to access from the hotel, which is a major advantage. The only downside is the absence of direct access to a private, fully serviced beach, which you might expect from a resort of this level. We also didn’t try the Rava Beach Club as the prices were quite high. Overall, a fantastic stay for golf, relaxation and tranquility
I had the opportunity to experience the spa at Banyan Tree for the first time, and it was truly amazing. I felt so relaxed from the moment I arrived. The spa reception team gave excellent recommendations for the program, which made the whole experience even better. Khun Venice and Khun Gift guided me through meditation and helped me relax deeply. I have never experienced a massage like this anywhere before. The atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, and the aroma of the oils was absolutely wonderful. It was such a memorable and impressive experience. I will definitely come back again.
Incredible stay from the moment we arrived at Banyan Tree to the moment we left. We were celebrating our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond. We stayed in a spa villa and JR made our stay absolutely perfect. He was so attentive and a true delight. My husband went golfing and Mai Lee was his caddy and he had the best time! The spa is also next level incredible. My massage with Venice was the best massage I’ve ever had! My only wish is that we had more time here to enjoy everything this resort has to offer. Thank you to everyone at Banyan Tree for making our honeymoon perfect!

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
