Compare prices
Perched on the coastline of North Pattaya, Cape Dara Resort occupies a prime oceanfront position with direct access to a private beach, making it a notable option for travellers seeking a beach-focused stay away from the busier parts of the city. The property features multiple dining and pool bar outlets, a spa, and a range of room categories including corner king rooms with sea views that guests have highlighted as a genuine highlight of the stay. Visitor experiences are mixed, and it is worth setting expectations accordingly. While many guests praise the warm, attentive service and the pleasant atmosphere, some note that the hotel feels more in line with a four-star property than a five-star one. Room quality and food offerings in certain areas have received criticism, and a handful of guests have reported discrepancies between booked ocean view rooms and what was actually assigned on arrival. For the best experience, prospective guests are advised to confirm room category specifics directly with the hotel before booking, ideally in writing, to avoid any misunderstanding about view type or floor position. Those with specific dietary requirements, such as halal food options, should also contact the resort in advance, as communication on this point has been inconsistent according to some reviewers. The resort is open around the clock, and direct booking through the hotel website may offer more flexibility when making special requests.

Visitor Reviews
I stayed at Cape Dara Resort during the New Year period and overall had a pleasant experience. The service was warm and responsive, and the team genuinely tried to accommodate our requests, which I really appreciated. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a relaxed luxury feel. That said, there are a few areas where improvement is needed. Some basic services, like warming food, were chargeable, which felt unnecessary for a resort of this category. The welcome drink was quite ordinary and could be made more interesting or refreshing. Breakfast quality was good, but not at the level of international luxury brands. I would strongly recommend adding more variety, especially Mexican, Italian, and Indian options, to cater to global guests. Also, the property felt a bit quiet — activities within the resort are limited, which may not suit guests looking for a more engaging stay. Overall, Cape Dara is a lovely property with excellent staff, but with a few upgrades in dining variety, guest activities, and small service touches, it could deliver a much stronger luxury experience.
Lovely atmosphere and good vibes. We truly enjoyed spending quality time here. We contacted the hotel before arrival to ask about halal food options, but unfortunately the response was unclear and did not fully answer our question. There was also no mention of halal availability during check-in. We only learned at check-out that halal options were actually available. Clearer communication in advance would have made our experience even better.
Nice views from corner king room. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Hotel does not feel like 5 star tho, 4 star hotel at best. Shampoo/conditioner combination, horrible washroom layout leaves you bumping into the door too often, and overall just lack of any luxury feeling. Private beach but it’s not swimmable and no sand just large rocks. Construction going on next door. Nothing close by without walking 10 mins +. Overall was ok stay and staff were great. Thanks Cape Dara, but likely to not stay again.
