Good Vibes Thailand - Yoga, Ice Bath & Wellness Program
Situated next to the Novotel Resort in Kamala, past Café del Mar on Phuket's quieter west coast, Good Vibes Thailand offers a focused wellness program built around yoga, ice baths, and general wellbeing. The program is led by instructor Sonya, whose approach centres on personalised attention — she takes time to discuss each participant's physical condition before class, making sessions accessible to complete beginners as well as those with more experience. Visitors consistently highlight the quality and flow of the yoga sessions, with a strong emphasis on deep stretching and hip-opening work. Sonya's teaching style is described as clear, patient, and energetic, creating an atmosphere that feels both structured and welcoming. The addition of ice bath therapy alongside the yoga offering makes this a more complete recovery and wellness experience than a standard drop-in class. Good to know: this is a program-based wellness experience rather than a large spa facility, so it suits travellers who prefer a more intimate, instructor-led setting over a conventional resort spa. Given the personalised nature of the sessions, reaching out in advance to confirm scheduling and availability is advisable, especially during Phuket's busier tourist months. The Kamala location is quieter and more relaxed than Patong, making it a practical fit for those prioritising rest and recovery during their trip.

I want to take a moment to share my experience from a yoga session with Sonia at Good Vibes Thailand. It was truly wonderful. 😇💕 I’m a local Thai living in Bangkok, and I’ve been to Phuket many times — probably over 10 by now. Lately, I’ve gotten tired of the usual busy, fast-paced outdoor activities. This time, I wanted to slow down and focus on myself. I’d been feeling stuck and a bit depressed, so I started looking online for a retreat or workshop not too far from my hotel. That’s how I found Good Vibes Thailand. Sonia usually doesn’t work on Sundays, but I reached out via WhatsApp anyway — and she replied, confirming a session. I trusted that the universe led me here; there were other Thai instructors I could’ve chosen, but something pulled me toward Sonia’s class. 🙏🏼 Her session was incredible. I booked it as a beginner yoga stretch, but she brought so much more: yoga practice, breathwork, meditation, sound bath, and even an ice bath. I could truly feel her energy, passion, and intention throughout. She is wonderful! It was a phenomenal healing experience — I left that day feeling recharged, uplifted, and full of genuine good vibes with Sonia!✨🧘♀️
I met Sonia during my trip to Thailand last month, which was meant to be for relaxing, wellbeing and selfcare. Definetely Sonia's yoga class in my second day of the trip was what I really needed. It was the perfect start of a lovely day. Worthy to mention her body's awareness during the practice and how caring and motivated she was for all of us. She also helped me during my first ice bath experience, guiding me with the breathing. Thanks to her I could stay for 2 minutes! And then repeated in order to complete the 3times recommended cicle. Thank you Sonia!!! I hope to come back to Phuket at some point and enjoy your yoga classes at the beach!! Wishing you all the best! 🤍 Gracias! ✨
Hello there! I'd like to share with you my super positive experience with yoga teacher Sonya and her amazing yoga classes here in Phuket! I've never met more incredible full of positive energy yoga teacher who fills you up with energy for the whole day! Her classes are always fun with different variations. Her ability to play sound bowls is another best thing that I'd like to mention. She's very talented at that and she is a spiritually deep person who I felt close connection with right away! I can't wait to attend classes with her again. Thank you, Sonya! You are the best❤️
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
