Carnival Magic

4.7(7,479 reviews)

Carnival Magic is a large-scale entertainment complex located in Kamala, on Phuket's west coast, combining a live performance venue, carnival-style games, a buffet dining hall, and immersive themed environments under one roof. The centrepiece is an indoor parade and theatrical show that visitors consistently describe as spectacular — notably, phones are not permitted inside the show space, and lockers are available for storage. The venue's elaborate light installations and colourful decor create an atmosphere that appeals to a broad range of ages, and even the bathrooms have become a talking point, featuring glowing fixtures, music, and a large water fountain display. The buffet offers a wide variety of options and draws strong praise for both its range and quality. The overall experience sits somewhere between a theme park, a dinner show, and an arts venue, making it a distinctive outing compared to typical Phuket tour activities. Some visitors feel the value depends on how much of the full experience they engage with, so arriving with enough time to explore the grounds, eat, and attend the show is recommended. Good to know: Carnival Magic is located at 999 Tambon Kamala in the Kathu district, which is easily reachable from central Phuket. As opening hours and pricing are not confirmed online, contacting the venue directly or booking through your accommodation before visiting is advisable. Given the indoor nature of much of the experience, this is a practical option during Phuket's wetter months between May and October, when outdoor activities may be less reliable.

This place is crazy amazing!! Games, shows, food, the bathrooms! You have to see all the bathrooms they glow, sing, there is even a massive water fountain in one. Best bathroom ever! The food hall is so beautiful and full of lots of yummy fresh food for everyone. I recommend going there first so you don't miss the the mini parade at 7:00pm then go play some games before the main show. Note the games are extra price. The place is kept very clean and the staff are amazingly friendly and I loved the costumes. The main show is insane! It starts at 8:30pm but you might want to head there about 8:00pm to use the lockers because they won't wait for you and there is alot of people going in. You can't take photos inside but there is so much happening it's crazy! They have fireworks, fire, smoke, colourful lights flashing everywhere. Beautiful costumes. It honestly doesn't matter where you sit because you will be apart of the show in every seat. After the main show go see the Kingdom of Lights display it's so cool! You can take suvinor photos for 500 baht and they come with a physical and digital version. I would definitely comeback! And I definitely recommend this place whatever your age! Thankyou for a great night :)

What an amazing experience, literally for children of all ages… even those in their 30s. The buffet had so many options to choose from and all of them were delicious. The Carnival Show was spectacular and reminded one that joy still exists in the world. The floats were so beautiful, you could tell that a lot of time and effort went into making them. Of course, one had to swing by the world’s largest popcorn machine and those were scrum dilly yum yum! The lights festival was the perfect way to close off the night.

The most magical place to be. Full of colorful lights, mesmerizing decor and lint work, each area you enter will teleport you to a wonderland full of bright colors. The show is next level. The art work, the performance, totally commendable. Better than the best. The buffet area has a wonderful spread with Indian, international, desserts, snack bites and much more. Totally worth the time and money.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
