Yoga On the Beach (by Yoga Balance)
Set directly on Ao Nang Beach in Krabi, this outdoor yoga operation offers small-group classes in one of Thailand's most scenic coastal settings. Instructor Den leads sessions against a backdrop of ocean waves and sea breezes, creating an atmosphere that consistently draws praise from visitors for its calm, unhurried pace. The intimate class size allows for personalised attention, making it a welcoming option for both beginners and those with an established practice. Sessions run for approximately 90 minutes and focus on building skill and confidence alongside the meditative benefits of a beachfront environment. Visitors describe Den as patient, knowledgeable, and skilled at balancing technique with the relaxed energy of an outdoor beach setting. The combination of professional instruction and the natural surroundings of Krabi's coastline gives the experience a character that a studio setting cannot replicate. Good to know: Classes can be booked in advance, and visitors have noted spotting sessions in progress on the beach before deciding to book — so it is worth looking out for the class when walking along Ao Nang Beach. Booking at least a day ahead is recommended. Afternoon and evening sessions take advantage of cooler temperatures and softer light. Bring water and consider a light towel or yoga mat, though it is worth confirming equipment requirements when booking.

Visitor Reviews
I honestly couldn’t recommend this beach yoga class enough. The class size was small and intimate, set in the most breathtaking surroundings — practicing yoga with the sound of the waves and fresh sea air was pure magic. The teacher is truly exceptional: fun, incredibly knowledgeable, endlessly patient, and so inspiring. As an intermediate yogi, I really appreciated how she challenged me in a supportive and encouraging way. She pushed me just enough to step outside my comfort zone while always making me feel safe and capable. Thanks to her guidance, I achieved poses I’d never even attempted before — including my very first headstand and crow pose, which I honestly never thought I’d be able to do. The way she breaks down poses and builds confidence is amazing. A beautiful class, a brilliant teacher, and an unforgettable experience.
It was a beautiful afternoon when we had an amazing yoga session on Ao Nang Beach with Den. We booked it the day before after seeing a similar class taking place, and we’re so glad we did. There’s no need to bring anything — mats, water, and towels are all provided and ready for you. Den has fantastic energy and is an excellent teacher. The 90-minute session was very well structured and surprisingly comprehensive. As the sun began to set halfway through, the atmosphere became even more special, and we couldn’t resist taking a few photos. To make it even better, a very friendly dog wandered over and joined us. He clearly loves attention and cuddles — we had actually seen him doing the same thing the day before :-) Highly recommended!
We stayed in Aonang for few days and decided to do something diffent, so we booked yoga class on the beach. And it was the best yoga classes we’ve ever had! Our tacher Den made this evening really special. Our group was on so many different levels in yoga but Den still managed to make all of us feel seen and taken care of. She was very kind, patient and proffesional. We even tried hand stands for the first time! When I think about my trip to Thailand, yoga classes with Den is the thing that I miss the most 🤍 If anyone hesitates - don’t! It’s the most beautiful memory You can collect 🤍
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
