Soma Yoga
Tucked away on the third floor of Merry Beery Cafe on Thanon Utarakit in Pak Nam, Soma Yoga is a yoga studio in the heart of Krabi town that has built a strong following among both travellers and locals. The studio is led by instructor Mai, who receives consistent praise across visitor reviews for her attentive teaching style, clear English instruction, and ability to create a genuinely supportive group atmosphere. Classes are described as intensive yet approachable, with Mai known for offering gentle guidance while encouraging students to push their personal boundaries at their own pace. First-time visitors and drop-ins are made to feel welcome, and the group environment is frequently noted as warm and inclusive — making it a comfortable option even for those new to yoga or unfamiliar with the studio. For travellers passing through Krabi, Soma Yoga works well as a drop-in experience, with multiple reviewers noting they joined only once or twice during a short stay and still found it worthwhile. As opening hours and booking details are not listed online, it is worth reaching out in advance to confirm class times and availability before making the trip. The studio is located in Krabi town, making it convenient for those staying in or near the town centre rather than the beach resort areas.

Visitor Reviews
I had an amazing time at Soma Yoga! I didn't know what to expect but I felt comfortable right away and had a good, intensive session. Mai is an wonderful teacher and she speaks great English, which made the class much easier for me. I gained a bit more knowledge about yoga and it was a lovely way to spend an evening.
I had a great time in Mai's yoga class. Unfortunately I only had time to join her once on my trip to Krabi. Mai is a really good teacher and she and the others welcomed me to the class. Thank you for the experience!
Amazing experience! Mai is very attentive, a great teacher, and truly motivating. The whole group was supportive and full of good advice. I highly recommend it of you are in Krabi !!
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
