Krabi Thai Massage
Situated on Maharaj Road in the centre of Krabi town, this massage parlour offers traditional Thai massage and related body treatments in a relaxed, homey setting. Its central location in Tambon Pak Nam makes it a convenient stop for travellers looking to recover after a day on the islands or beaches, without paying resort-spa prices for a straightforward treatment. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, with visitors describing it as friendly and low-key. Experiences here can vary depending on the therapist, so if you receive a massage you enjoy, it is worth noting the name of that staff member for a return visit. Several reviewers specifically recommend requesting a therapist named Pop for a strong, thorough traditional Thai massage. The 60-minute Thai massage is a frequently mentioned option and represents good value for the area. Good to know: Quality and technique appear inconsistent between therapists, so managing expectations is sensible if it is your first visit. No website or published opening hours are currently available online, so it is advisable to ask your accommodation to confirm current hours before making the trip, particularly if you are planning an early morning or late evening session. As with most traditional Thai massage venues, loose and comfortable clothing is recommended both before and after your treatment.

Had a wonderful experience doing the 60 min thai massage. The lady was very thorough and friendly.
Good massage, good price. Very friendly, homey and relaxed atmosphere. Love the place and the therapists! UPD: Me and my friend were offered tea after our massage sessions. After approximately 10 min we both felt a bit sick: stomach turning, dizziness, nausea. Later that night I had vomited several times, and me and my friend both had diarrhoea. It was the last day of our 14 day trip in Thailand, and we hadn’t had such symptoms for the whole duration of our trip. Also that tea after the massage was the only thing we both ate or drank that day (we didn’t share food or drinks, nor had we ate or drank the same dishes or drinks as each other). Please tell me, what was that tea, you offered us! So I can check the ingredients, maybe there are medical contraindications.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
