City Night Market
Located on Khongkha Road in the heart of Krabi Town, this open-air market runs every day of the week and draws a steady mix of locals and travellers browsing vendor stalls that span street food, fresh tropical fruit, clothing, souvenirs, and everyday goods — all at genuinely budget-friendly prices. The food stalls are the main draw for most visitors. One spot in particular, recognisable by its pink handwritten signs and walls covered in notes left by international visitors, has built a strong following for its home-style Thai cooking — fried fish, steamed fish with ginger, and dishes cooked to order. Grilled skewers and fresh fruit vendors offer lighter alternatives for those just passing through. The overall atmosphere is casual and local in feel, with vendors generally noted for being friendly and welcoming. That said, popular stalls can attract queues, and waits of up to an hour have been reported during busy periods, so patience is worth factoring in. Good to know: The market is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, but evenings between 18:00 and 22:00 tend to be the liveliest, with stalls fully set up and the most activity. Cash is essential, as card payments are not widely accepted. The market is reachable on foot or by tuk-tuk from most Krabi Town accommodation, and light, comfortable clothing suits the warm, open-air environment.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing food and even more amazing owner. The food is delicious. We visited twice and had several dishes. Two types of fish (fried and teamed with ginger). I was allowed to cook my own dish (morning glory). We also had a desert- mango with sticky rice. Was really good. เลขที่ 4/1 ปากน้ำ ปากน้ำ, Tambon Pak Nam, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi 81000, תאילנד
Really nice food for cheap prices. GO TO THE RESTAURANT WITH THE PINK HANDWRITTEN SIGNS. It’s the best restaurant we’ve been to in Thailand :) Very nice food and owner.
To be honest Market food is not my cup of tea, there are too many people the places too hot I had four chicken and pineapple grilled. Quite pleasant. Purchase lots of fruit on other stalls including dried bananas pineapple and mangoes

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
