Lan Lek Lek
Tucked inside Krabi Town's city night market on Soi Maharaj 10, this well-regarded Thai food stall draws a loyal crowd of locals and travellers with straightforward, flavourful cooking at genuinely affordable prices. The communal setting and consistently busy tables reflect a reputation built on food rather than foot traffic. The menu focuses on Thai classics executed with care. Stir-fried morning glory arrives with a savoury, smoky finish, while the fried rice holds its texture without turning soggy. Tom yum soup, generously stuffed spring rolls, and mango sticky rice are among the dishes that visitors return to. Portions are considered good value for the price, and food typically comes out quickly once ordered. Cutlery is kept in a shared container on the table, in keeping with the casual market-stall atmosphere. Seating is communal and fills fast during peak hours, but turnover tends to be quick, so a short wait usually resolves the situation. The stall opens daily from 10:30 to 22:00, making it a practical choice for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is liveliest in the evening when the wider night market picks up. A small number of visitors have noted that dishes can differ from menu photos, so arriving with an open mind rather than fixed expectations generally leads to the most enjoyable visit.

Visitor Reviews
As you can see it’s part of the city night market. It was all v tasty and well done. 5 star food for the price. Decent sized portions. Surprisingly cool sitting inside. Spring rolls were stuffed full of veggies. Would have liked them hotter but still satisfying. Really enjoyed the pad sixiw. Works definitely come again.
Great, welcoming and polite service with a massive smile. Tasty food - very quickly served, amazing spring rolls and definitely the best mango sticky rice so far. Located inside the night market. Their enthusiasm, authenticity but also ability to communicate in English made it a great spot. khàawp khun khâ! 🙏🏼
Best food stall in this market! Friendly staff and delicious food! The stir fried morning glory was done to perfection - savoury and smoky! Fried rice was equally yummy and wasn’t soggy. Tom yum soup was flavourful, deeply umami and tart, but a bit too spicy (for me).

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
