Kitavaree

4.9(40 reviews)

Kitavaree is the dedicated spa and wellness facility at the Kimpton Kitalay Samui resort on Koh Samui, offering a calm and atmospheric setting designed for relaxation and restoration. The space is well regarded for its harmonious ambience, and therapists are consistently praised by visitors for their attentiveness and skill across a range of treatments including couples massages, body massages, and facial therapies. Guests can expect a polished spa experience with knowledgeable therapists who tailor their approach to individual needs. Couples massages are a popular choice, with visitors frequently noting how comfortable and welcomed they feel from arrival. Facial treatments and body massages have both drawn strong praise, with several guests returning for a second session during the same stay — a reliable indicator of consistent quality. As with any spa, treatment quality can vary between therapists, and a small number of visitors have noted inconsistency in technique, so it is worth communicating preferences clearly at the start of a session. Kitavaree is open every day of the week from 10am to 10pm, making it accessible whether guests are looking for a morning treatment or a wind-down session in the evening. As the spa is located within a resort property, non-hotel guests should check availability and booking requirements directly via the Kimpton Kitalay Samui website before visiting. Advance booking is advisable, particularly during peak travel periods on the island.

Visitor Reviews

During my stay at the Kimpton Kitalay Samui, I decided to try a back massage, and it was an incredible experience. Aon, my therapist, was exceptional—her skillful hands and intuitive techniques worked wonders on my tension. The serene spa ambiance, coupled with Aon’s expertise, left me feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If you’re staying here, I highly recommend booking a session with her. It’s the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate.

On the last day of my vacation, I went for a massage to relieve my fatigue. Thanks to Sky’s kind and thoughtful guidance, I immediately felt at ease. The massage by Tan and Gift was absolutely amazing. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this one is truly the best.

One of the best Facial treatments I have had. Also went back for the body massage and they did an absolutely fantastic job. Definitely highly recommended for anyone who wants fo spoil themselves and looking for a relaxing exclusive experience.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
