FishHouse Restaurant & Bar
Sitting directly on Choeng Mon Beach on Koh Samui's quieter northern coastline, FishHouse Restaurant & Bar combines a genuinely beautiful seaside setting with a menu that spans fresh seafood, pasta, burrata, and standout dishes like lobster paella and whole seabass. The beachfront location provides natural atmosphere without the noise and crowds found at more developed parts of the island, making it a popular choice for both visitors staying nearby and regulars who return to the venue on repeat trips. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished, with attentive and professional service that previous diners frequently highlight. The kitchen places clear emphasis on quality and presentation, with dishes described as fresh, flavourful, and well-executed. The combination of ocean views, capable cooking, and warm hospitality makes it a strong option for a sit-down dinner rather than a quick beachside bite. Good to know: FishHouse is located close to the Melia hotel on Choeng Mon Beach, which serves as a useful landmark for first-time visitors navigating the area. Given its reputation for attentive service and the intimate beach setting, booking a table in advance is advisable, particularly during high season or for special occasions. Opening hours are not confirmed online, so contacting the restaurant directly before visiting is recommended.

Reviews from Google
An Unforgettable Dining Experience by the Sea One of the most memorable parts of dining at Fish House Restaurant—besides the beautiful seaside location and stunning atmosphere—was the exceptional service. Special thanks to Khun Raven and Khun Apple, whose care and attention truly stood out. Their service was detail-oriented, attentive, professional, warm, and genuinely friendly. They explained the menu clearly, answered every question thoughtfully, and made us feel truly welcomed. Their dedication turned our meal into an unforgettable memory and a wonderful dining experience. The team here truly deserves recognition. As for the food, we ordered a whole seabass (500 grams), which is perfect for 1–2 people. Guests can choose whether the fish is grilled dry or juicy, and the chef prepared it using a butterfly fillet technique, making it very easy and enjoyable to eat. The fish was fresh and delicious, served with a side of mixed vegetables that complemented it perfectly. The homemade ice cream was another highlight — rich, well-balanced, and available in several interesting flavors. A lovely touch was the complimentary basket of warm baked bread, which immediately won our hearts. The restaurant’s atmosphere is beautiful both during the day and in the evening, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed yet refined seaside meal. Overall, Fish House is a place where great food meets outstanding service. The team truly makes the experience special, and they absolutely deserve all the appreciation for their hard work and passion.
Absolutely loved our dinner here. The burrata and pasta were amazing, fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The seabass was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was friendly and attentive. A great spot for a relaxed evening by the beach.
A wonderful place with delicious food and a great atmosphere. The location and interior are beautiful, and the waitstaff are excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the waiting time for the food was over 35 minutes, which slightly spoiled the overall impression. With such a high level of cuisine and service, faster service would really make this place perfect.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
