Chiang Rai Nice Massage
Tucked along the main transport road in Tambon Wiang, this traditional Thai massage parlour has built a strong reputation among both travellers and Chiang Rai locals. The owner greets guests personally and walks them through the available treatments from the outset, creating a welcoming atmosphere that carries through the entire visit. The surroundings are simple and unpretentious, but the quality of the practitioners is consistently what draws people back — reviewers single out individual therapists by name and regularly return for multiple sessions during the same trip. The focus is firmly on massage technique rather than spa aesthetics. Treatments include traditional Thai massage and targeted options such as head massage, with session lengths available from 30 minutes upward. A foot wash is provided before treatment begins. Therapists have been credited with relieving persistent physical complaints, including long-standing shoulder pain, which reflects the standard of hands-on skill on offer. The parlour draws a loyal local clientele alongside visiting travellers, which is a reliable indicator of its standing in the community. Good to know: the parlour opens every day from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM, making it a practical option for an evening wind-down after sightseeing. It does get busy, and short waits are possible at peak times, so arriving outside dinner hours may help. Pricing is not listed online, so it is worth confirming treatment costs on arrival. If a particular therapist stands out on a first visit, staff are receptive to requests for subsequent bookings.

Visitor Reviews
This place was really nice! First the owner came and explained all the options of massage they offered. We had a short wait because they were busy, but it was not bad at all. They wash your feet then bring you inside. The massage was really good. Afterward they offer a small snack and some tea. If I were spending more time in Chiang Rai, I would definitely come back!
I had been struggling with a bad shoulder for a long time and hadn’t yet had the chance to see an orthopedic doctor. I'm so grateful I came across this wonderful massage place! The skilled masseur Ms Bee, quickly identified the issue—turned out to be a problem with my scapula—and after just one session, I could lift my arm behind my back again. I felt noticeably better afterward. I was wondering why this place has 5 star review status, we were no longer surprised after the visit. I paid only 600 baht for a fantastic 1.5-hour deep tissue massage—absolutely worth every baht. The place is very clean, and the staff have a warm, professional attitude. A big thank you to Annie and Bee for your excellent service. Highly recommend this place to anyone in Chiang Rai looking for genuine relief and great care! Tips to locate this place: It's directly opposite the Chiang Rai Bus Terminal. One entrance faces the terminal, while the other side opens near the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar food centre. We visited Nice Massage and had a fantastic experience. The place itself is simple and unpretentious, but don’t let that fool you — the staff are absolutely wonderful and clearly very skilled. I had a one-hour oil massage for 550 baht, and it was exceptional value. The therapist eased tight muscles perfectly and somehow managed to completely wash away the stress of the Western world. Everything felt calm, respectful, and professional from start to finish. No rush, no upselling — just a genuinely good massage delivered with care and kindness. If you’re in Chiang Rai and looking for a great massage at an honest price, this place is highly recommended.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
