THAI KITCHEN RESTAURANT
Tucked along Beach Road in Bo Put on Koh Samui's north shore, this Thai restaurant has earned a strong following among both tourists and locals for its genuine home-style cooking and relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Dishes like crispy chicken wontons, Thai noodles, chicken sweet and sour, and fresh seafood including lobster and white snapper appear frequently in visitor praise, pointing to a menu that balances classic Thai flavours with solid execution. The beachside neighbourhood setting gives the restaurant a casual, easygoing character typical of Bo Put's popular dining strip. Service draws consistent mention in reviews, with staff described as notably friendly and attentive, and food arriving quickly even during busy periods. Seating extends further inside for those who prefer distance from the road, giving diners a choice between a livelier streetside spot or a quieter table within. The kitchen's wide-ranging menu accommodates solo travellers and groups alike, with portions and pricing that represent good value. Good to know: The restaurant is open every day from 11am to 2am, making it one of the more flexible dining options on the island for late arrivals or post-evening-activity meals. The Bo Put Beach Road location is straightforward to reach by motorbike or tuk-tuk. Arriving during the mid-afternoon lull between lunch and dinner service is a practical option for those wanting a quieter meal, as the venue draws steady crowds during peak evening hours.

Visitor Reviews
We stumbled upon this restaurant during a walk along the Chaweng Beach road, and a quick Google Maps search encouraged us to try it—thank goodness we did! This place is a gem that offers incredible value and speed without compromising on flavor. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and, most impressively, incredibly fast. The service here was one of the quickest we experienced during our entire trip to Thailand! They efficiently handled our orders, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. The menu is huge, offering a wide array of vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood options. Every single dish we tried was exceptional, boasting exquisite, well-balanced flavors. The special highlight was the Roasted Lobster—the meat was incredibly fresh and deliciously cooked, perfectly paired with the noodles. Everything from the seafood to the non-veg dishes was a hit. We took advantage of their happy hour for classic beers, and everything was priced proportionately to the high-quality dining experience. You get great taste and excellent service for a fair price. Being situated right on the main Chaweng Beach road means the street noise can get loud at night, but we were still able to converse with our group easily. The one enhancement I'd suggest is adding live music; this would elevate the already good ambiance and make the overall experience even better. If speed, variety, freshness, and flavor are your priorities, this restaurant is a must-try when in Chaweng. Highly recommend the seafood!
To be honest, I was initially heading to a different restaurant I had found on Google. After parking my motorbike, I asked an employee if this was the place I was looking for, and he told me it wasn’t—the restaurant I wanted was just nearby. He mentioned that this one was called Thai Kitchen. I noticed the high ratings and decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be a great decision. The food was excellent. I ordered calamari, which was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside. I also tried their special dish, crab with rice, along with some juices. The total bill came to 697 baht, and it was well worth it.
We had such a wonderful dining experience here! We tried their famous Chicken Sweet and Sour, and it was absolutely delicious — definitely a must-try dish. We also enjoyed the Lobster and White Snapper, both cooked to perfection with so much flavor. Every bite was fresh and satisfying. The food here is consistently tasty, and that’s why we love coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a memorable meal!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
