THAI KITCHEN RESTAURANT
Situated along Beach Road in Bo Put on Koh Samui's north shore, this Thai restaurant has built a loyal following among both tourists and locals through genuine home-style cooking and a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Dishes that draw repeat visitors include crispy chicken wontons, Thai noodles, chicken sweet and sour, and fresh seafood such as lobster and white snapper — a menu that covers classic Thai flavours with consistent execution across a wide range of options. The dining experience is characterised by notably attentive staff and quick service even during busy periods. Seating options include streetside tables closer to the road and quieter spots further inside, giving diners some flexibility depending on their preference. The setting suits solo travellers, couples, and groups equally well, with portions and pricing that represent solid value for the Bo Put area. The restaurant is easy to reach by motorbike or tuk-tuk, and its Beach Road position places it within the neighbourhood's well-established dining strip. Good to know: Thai Kitchen is open every day from 11am to 2am, making it a practical choice for late dinners or meals after evening activities when many other kitchens have closed. Those wanting a quieter experience may find the mid-afternoon window between lunch and dinner service the most comfortable time to visit, as the venue draws steady crowds during peak evening hours.

Visitor Reviews
We stumbled upon this restaurant during a walk along the Chaweng Beach road, and a quick Google Maps search encouraged us to try it—thank goodness we did! This place is a gem that offers incredible value and speed without compromising on flavor. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and, most impressively, incredibly fast. The service here was one of the quickest we experienced during our entire trip to Thailand! They efficiently handled our orders, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. The menu is huge, offering a wide array of vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood options. Every single dish we tried was exceptional, boasting exquisite, well-balanced flavors. The special highlight was the Roasted Lobster—the meat was incredibly fresh and deliciously cooked, perfectly paired with the noodles. Everything from the seafood to the non-veg dishes was a hit. We took advantage of their happy hour for classic beers, and everything was priced proportionately to the high-quality dining experience. You get great taste and excellent service for a fair price. Being situated right on the main Chaweng Beach road means the street noise can get loud at night, but we were still able to converse with our group easily. The one enhancement I'd suggest is adding live music; this would elevate the already good ambiance and make the overall experience even better. If speed, variety, freshness, and flavor are your priorities, this restaurant is a must-try when in Chaweng. Highly recommend the seafood!
To be honest, I was initially heading to a different restaurant I had found on Google. After parking my motorbike, I asked an employee if this was the place I was looking for, and he told me it wasn’t—the restaurant I wanted was just nearby. He mentioned that this one was called Thai Kitchen. I noticed the high ratings and decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be a great decision. The food was excellent. I ordered calamari, which was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside. I also tried their special dish, crab with rice, along with some juices. The total bill came to 697 baht, and it was well worth it.
We had such a wonderful dining experience here! We tried their famous Chicken Sweet and Sour, and it was absolutely delicious — definitely a must-try dish. We also enjoyed the Lobster and White Snapper, both cooked to perfection with so much flavor. Every bite was fresh and satisfying. The food here is consistently tasty, and that’s why we love coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a memorable meal!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
