Nakee Thai Massage
Tucked beside Amazon Cafe in the relaxed Choengmon neighbourhood on Koh Samui's northeastern tip, this massage spa has earned a strong reputation for genuinely therapeutic work rather than purely relaxation-focused treatments. Therapists including Rin, Toi, Nong, Arun, and Pha are frequently named in visitor feedback — an indicator of the personalised, attentive approach guests consistently receive. Rin in particular is noted for specialist-level deep tissue work on shoulder complaints, while Nong draws praise for her ability to identify and target tension without being told where to look.
The treatment menu includes traditional Thai massage, deep tissue massage, and hot stone oil massage. The atmosphere reflects the quieter pace of Choengmon itself, well away from the busier tourist corridors further around the island. Families appear comfortable here — one reviewer brought a seven-year-old daughter for four consecutive sessions — and repeat visits from the same guests are a common thread across the feedback.
As opening hours are not currently listed online, it is worth calling ahead or stopping by in person to confirm availability and secure a preferred therapist, especially during peak season when popular practitioners can book up quickly. The spa is straightforward to locate next to the Amazon Cafe on the Choengmon road, making it a convenient option for visitors staying in the northeast of the island.

Wow! What a place this is. My 7 year old daughter and I had massages 4 days running here by Pha and Nong. Nong is so in tune with her clients body and can pin point where you're experiencing tension without even telling her. She could even tell I suffered from headaches. I felt so relaxed from the aromatherapy massages and so sad I couldn't take her home to the UK. I also had a foot scrub (amazing) and a herbal compress. My daughter had foot massages from Pha and was so lovely with her. She enjoyed every second and sad we had to leave. This was the highlight of her holiday, even after seeing the elephants. Can't thank you all enough for making us as relaxed as possible for our time in Koh Samui. We will definitely return when we visit again. Thank you for looking after us so well x
Had an amazing hot stone oil massage at Nakee Thai Massage in Choengmon. My therapist RIN was skilled and attentive, and the hot stones combined perfectly with traditional Thai techniques to melt away all my tension. The facility is spotlessly clean and peaceful, tucked away in a quieter area. Staff was friendly and professional, and they accept credit cards which made payment very convenient. The pricing was very reasonable for the quality. Left feeling completely rejuvenated. Highly recommend booking ahead during peak season—ask for RIN!
Both my wife and I saw Rin at different times during our stay. I have suffered from shoulder issues and I would consider her a specialist. Shoulder hasn’t felt this good in years. Deep tissue, very dedicated to her craft, and a great personality. Super grateful for Rin and Nakee Thai Massage!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
