Chill Inn Samui Hostel and Restaurant

4.6(243 reviews)

Chill Inn Samui sits in the quieter Bo Put area of Koh Samui, offering budget-friendly hostel accommodation alongside an on-site restaurant and bar. The property appeals to solo travellers and small groups looking for a relaxed base away from the island's busier tourist strips, while remaining roughly a 15-minute drive from the main nightlife areas. Recreational facilities including pool tables and table tennis help foster the social hostel atmosphere the property is known for.

Rooms are described by guests as modern and spacious by hostel standards, featuring working air conditioning, full-sized lockers, and daily housekeeping. The on-site restaurant and bar add convenience, and staff — including reception and bar teams — are frequently praised for being friendly and welcoming. Some guests have noted that bed comfort and bathroom quality can be inconsistent, so lighter sleepers or those prioritising comfort may want to consider this before booking.

Reviews from Google

It is a very nice hostel. They clean everyday and the rooms have nice airconditioning. Staff is very nice. It is more chill and in a quiet area but its only a 15 minute drive to the party area. Very easy to take a taxi with other people from the hostel. It is a social hostel if you want but not loud with too many people. I would recommend

Great stay, great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Mary. The food is good and the rooms are spacious and clean. I do recommend and will come back.

The hostel has a good location and decent facilities like pool tables and table tennis. The rooms were relatively clean and had working AC and lockers. However, several issues made our stay uncomfortable. First, the security is concerning: our room was essentially left unlocked with a sign instructing us to "keep the key in the door at all times." Additionally, the "no outside food" policy feels like a cash grab, forcing guests to buy from an overpriced menu. This is very uncommon for a hostel, which usually has a kitchen to make your own food. To make matters worse, the common area/restaurant constantly smelled of weed, making it an unpleasant place to eat. The bathrooms are worn out, and we experienced two mornings with no running water at all. Also, the bunk beds do not have full privacy curtains. Given the price and the issues with basic utilities, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
