Lazy Bar
Tucked along the Ao Nang shoreline in Krabi, Lazy Bar earns its name as a genuinely unhurried spot where the pace slows down and the company tends to be good. The bar sits right on the beach, offering a quiet alternative to the busier strip, and draws travellers looking for somewhere to settle in rather than rush through. The owner, known to regulars as Ra, is frequently mentioned by visitors as a highlight in himself — welcoming, easy to chat with, and a big part of what gives the place its character. Lazy Bar focuses primarily on drinks, so those stopping in for cocktails, cold beers, or fresh juices are in the right place. Some visitors have also enjoyed food here, though the drinks and atmosphere are the main draw. The decor and music add to the relaxed mood, and evenings in particular seem to bring out the best of the setting, with the beach backdrop and easygoing crowd making it a natural place to wind down after a day of exploring. Worth noting for first-time visitors: the bar is a short two to three minute walk from the main beachfront, so it sits slightly off the main drag. This distance is part of what keeps it quieter than nearby options, and it is generally open throughout the day and into the night.

Visitor Reviews
Best service from Bob Lacey, good vibe Location is 97 Soi Noppharat Thara 13 Ao Nang, Mueang Krabi District Krabi 81180 Thailand
We had some dinner and some juices. The food was good, but not the best we bad. The atmosphere and the people are incredibly relaxed, and it’s the best spot we found in town. Especially in the evenings it’s gorgeous.
This is a great bar to go to for good music, cocktails and a friendly host. Just a short distance from the beach front, but definitely worth the 2/3 minute walk. We loved the decorations and menu selection.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
