Strawberry Moons Beach Bar
Strawberry Moons Beach Bar sits on the beachfront in Ao Nang, one of Krabi's most accessible coastal strips, offering a relaxed open-air setting beneath a large tree with views stretching out over the Andaman Sea. The venue draws visitors throughout the day and into the evening, but it is particularly known for its sunsets, which bring a lively yet unhurried crowd looking to wind down with a drink as the light fades over the water. The bar serves a range of cocktails, wines, and other drinks, with the Pina Colada and other mixed drinks drawing consistent praise from visitors. The food menu also earns strong recommendations, particularly the spring rolls. The atmosphere is notably casual and family-friendly, with easy access for prams and young children, while the staff are widely described as welcoming and English-speaking. On clear evenings, guests can also spot the lights of squid fishing boats drifting across the distant water, adding to the atmosphere after dark. The bar opens at 10am every day of the week and stays open until midnight, making it a flexible stop whether the plan is a lazy afternoon drink or a full evening out. Sunset time is the busiest period, so arriving a little early is worth considering if securing a good spot with an unobstructed view matters. Beachwear and casual clothing are entirely appropriate. Check the Facebook page before visiting for any event updates or seasonal information.

Visitor Reviews
We misses the sunset, but it still is such a lovely place to stop for a drink under a huge tree. You can see the squid boats lights glow in the distance on the sea. They serve all sorts of drinks, wine by the glass, beer in bottles, cocktails and some food. Khun Kwan who was serving on the floor is so smiley and friendly, and behind the bar I think the owner is super welcoming to. Plastic seating, with tables, good music, only sea views, it's such a great spot. Also close to the Landmark area. We will return, to this new fave spot.
Perfect sunsets with the most delicious cocktails around. Staff are lovely and speak great English and are soo friendly. I love my bars and I love my sunsets and this is perfect. Friendly locals and friendly expats. Often with a beach bar you have to sacrifice great cocktails and reasonable prices for the perfect view but that not how it is here thankfully. My number one favourite bar in Ao Nang and the best mojitos!
Enjoy the beautiful beach view of Aonang, close to the city and still relatively peacful. Sunsets are the busy time here. The bar is very family friendly, as there are no obstacles for buggies and kids can play directly in front at the beach.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
