Delaney’s Cocktail Lounge Ao Nang
Tucked away across from the rock climbing wall near Ao Nang's night market, Delaney's Cocktail Lounge is a standout find in a beach town where quality cocktail bars are hard to come by. The bar is run by a duo known to regulars as King and Dada, who bring a personal touch to every visit — King behind the bar crafting inventive drinks, and Dada keeping things warm and attentive on the floor. Complimentary chips come with the drinks, adding a small but appreciated extra to the experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with good music and the kind of easy-going energy that keeps visitors coming back night after night. The cocktail menu is the main draw, offering craft-level drinks that punch well above what most bars in the area serve. It works equally well as a pre-market warm-up, a wind-down after a long day, or simply a place to sit and enjoy a well-made drink while a travel companion browses the nearby stalls. Good to know: the bar can be surprisingly quiet given the quality on offer, which means walk-ins are generally fine and there is rarely a wait for a seat. Its location near the night market makes it easy to combine with an evening out in Ao Nang.

Visitor Reviews
So it is as good as the other reviews suggest. If you’re at the night market and looking for craft cocktails it is across from the rock climbing wall. I’ve been here a few times making my way through the menu. Everything is made proper and how you’d expect with quality ingredients which can be difficult to find outside of an expensive hotel. Prices are super fair. Standouts are the Caesar, Aperol spritz, and cosmo sour. Nice vibe. Outdoor seating as well as a more private back room
We love finding a good cocktail bar and/or speakeasy. So far, in Ao Nang, we hadn't found a good place with quality cocktails so this was a treat! Great Vibe, absolutely fabulous drinks and the owner is Canadian. Eh? I had an Amaretto sour... 10/10 and hubby had a Caesar.... 10/10. He says it's the best he's had at a bar, EVER! Whatever secret ingredient Matt and team use, it makes for a winning drink! Highly recommend! 🤗
I’m not sure why this place is so quiet, the staff are so friendly and the cocktails are really good. The 3 nights we where in Ao Nang we came back every night. The atmosphere is also really nice and chill even though we were the only ones in there a couple of times. Really reccomend this place for a drink also not too expensive!
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
