Why go, and how to do it well
Sky Bar is the open-air bar on the 64th floor of The Dome at lebua, 247 m above Silom Road at the top of State Tower, and the panorama at dusk is the whole point. The circular bar glows right at the edge of the drop, and it's where the Hangovertini was created for the cast of The Hangover Part II. Be honest with yourself that the view is what you're buying. phuket101's October 2026 guide puts the Hangovertini at ฿1,500, and cocktails here run about ฿1,300 to ฿1,500 plus service and tax, so plenty of people who arrive without doing the math leave annoyed.
The routine is worth knowing too. Sky Bar is walk-in only, with no reservations, and it's standing room around the bar. Several reviewers, and phuket101, describe staff steering new arrivals into the Pink Bar first, where phuket101 found the cheapest drink at about ฿2,700, and the Pink Bar is stricter, with long pants and collared shirts for men and nobody under 20. You can politely ask to go straight up to Sky Bar. Bartenders and waiters get consistently good marks. Arrive around sunset, then walk to the other side of the rooftop once the city lights come on. For a seat and dinner with the same view, Sirocco, lebua's Mediterranean restaurant, is steps away under the dome.

We‘ve visited the Sky Bar - first stop was 50ish floor where we did get Cocktails and view towards uptown. All in All about 80€ for 2 Cocktails. Price wise of course sky high but since you KNOW WHAT YOU BOOK it is not a surprise. You are going to one of the highest Cocktail Bars in the world - a top destination and landmark. Remember that e.g. in New York you are paying the same just to access the ‚rooftop’ of Empire State. But here is what you also get for it. A. Like AMAZING service + waiters who also take great pictures B. Like BEST Views in Town Afterwards you get what you are probably want to see the most: the Hangover 2 movie scene spot. After a short Elevator ride you are able to access the scene, take photos and have a great time. Also here some great service guy took hundreds of photos of us which was really great. Do it if you are around but know what’s included and don’t be upset about the prices.
A must do if you’re visiting Bangkok, Sky Bar is mush than a rooftop bar. On top of the 64th Floor the panoramic view is breathtaking, I would recommend coming to see the sunset. The bartender here is amazing, a huge shoutout to Gaurav, Jong, Namtan and Shernan. They make the best drinks in Bangkok, definitely try the Hangovertini, it’s so good. I can’t wait to comeback soon!
I've had a very disappointing experience here. I wouldn't visit again. It started with a 10 min queue/wait just to use the elevator. Apon arriving at the top, we were ushered to a empty 2nd inner bar and told to sit, and given a limited drinks menu. The menu only contained the most expensive drinks ranging between 1500-50000 baht per drink. We ordered 2 of the cheapest drinks we could see, which was 2 of the smallest glasses of warm white wine I've even seen. At this point we were wondering why everybody else were being taken to the other outer bar. We decided to pay for our 2 small wines 3000 baht only to be told we had to pay another 800 baht service charge for using the inner bar. We walked to the other bar only to discover a much bigger selection of drinks at a more reasonable price. We complained to a member of staff. Who did not seen to care at all. We watched the sun go down for 10 mins while being stared at by some staff members. We decide to leave early and we got escorted out of the building. It felt like we were singled out to be scammed. Apart from the great views a truly disappointing experience. I would recommend visiting Spectrum instead, there the service was amazing.
