Estrela Rooftop Bar & Restaurant
Perched on the 17th floor of the Novotel Phuket City Phokeethra, Estrela lays claim to being the highest rooftop bar in Phuket Town, offering partially panoramic views across the city from an elevated outdoor setting. The combination of a bar, cocktail menu, and full dining service makes it a versatile evening destination, whether visitors are stopping in for sunset drinks or settling in for a longer meal. The food menu draws consistent praise from visitors, with dishes like Cheesy Fries, Salmon Tataki, and Duck Confit frequently highlighted as standouts. The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and relaxed, with background music that fits the rooftop setting without overwhelming conversation. Staff attentiveness is a recurring theme across visitor feedback, and the venue maintains a noticeably clean and well-kept environment throughout the week. Estrela opens daily at 16:30, making it well-suited for those who want to arrive ahead of sunset and stay into the evening. Smart casual dress is appropriate for the setting. The venue is affiliated with the Accor hotel group, so guests staying at the Novotel have direct access, while outside visitors can reach the bar via taxi or tuk-tuk to the Thanon Chanacharoen address in central Phuket Town.

Visitor Reviews
Estrela Rooftop Bar at Novotel Phuket City Phokeethra was absolutely amazing! Every staff member was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole evening feel extra special. The view overlooking Phuket Old Town and the sea was breathtaking — especially at sunset, when the sky turned gold and pink. I also joined their cocktail class and loved how I could customize my own drink based on my taste — such a fun and unique experience! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Perfect ambiance, great service, and stunning view — I’d say this is a must-visit rooftop in Phuket. 💛
Estrela Rooftop Bar is a wonderful spot for sunset drinks. We visited as a group of ladies and it was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the view at sunset was absolutely beautiful. Watching the sky change colours while sitting on the rooftop made the whole experience feel special. They had a great happy hour promotion with buy one get one free cocktails, which made it even more enjoyable. The drinks were delicious and very nicely garnished with tropical touches that suited the setting perfectly. We also ordered some snacks to go with the drinks, including arancini and a fried seafood medley. Both were very tasty and the portions were generous enough for sharing. Overall it was a fantastic place to enjoy cocktails and watch the sunset. A perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends.
Had an incredible experience here! The food was outstanding—the Cheesy Fries, Salmon Tataki, and Duck Confit were all cooked to perfection. The place has such a nice vibe and great music, making it the perfect spot to unwind. What truly sets this bar apart is the service; if I could give 11/10, I would. A huge thank you to Jojo, New, and Nui for their amazing hospitality and for taking such great care of us. Also, a special shoutout to Chef Beer for the delicious meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Phuket!

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
