BKK Tours
Based in Bangkok's central Si Lom district, this established tour operator offers curated guided experiences covering Bangkok's highlights and destinations further afield, including notable day trips such as the Floating and Railway Markets and the historically significant Hellfire Pass. The company is run by owner Michael, who handles bookings with clear communication, and employs knowledgeable guides — with Air frequently mentioned by name in visitor feedback — who manage all logistics from hotel pickup to drop-off, allowing travellers to focus entirely on the experience. Tours are structured to cover significant ground efficiently, with guides providing historical context and local insights throughout. Visitors consistently highlight the professional yet personable approach, noting that guides offer thoughtful recommendations for independent exploration beyond the tours themselves. The operation suits travellers who want the depth of a guided experience without sacrificing flexibility or personal attention. Good to know: Booking in advance is strongly recommended, particularly during peak season from November to February when demand is high. Check the website at bkktours.com for current tour offerings, availability, and pricing before reaching out. The Si Lom address is accessible via the BTS Skytrain (Chong Nonsi or Sala Daeng stations are nearby), making it straightforward to reach from most parts of the city. Hotel pickup is available for many tours, so confirm logistics directly with the operator at the time of booking.

Visitor Reviews
Decided we wanted guided tours of Bangkok so booked three separate tours with BKK and will leave a review of each. Michael, owner, communicated brilliantly throughout the booking process. We paid into their Wise Australia account which was great as we could see the transfer recipient which means the transaction is safe. First tour completed today with Nes, the Highlights Tour. Train trip to the Grand Palace, boat ride through Old Bangkok, a couple more temples, lunch and then the flower and vegetable markets. With a couple of Tuk Tuk rides in the middle. Obviously the temples are stunning but loved the boat ride around the old town fronts. Massive monitor lizards on show, much bigger than you see in the parks. Nes was brilliant and informative. Can’t wait for our next two trips, Railway/Floating Markets and The River Kwai. I’ll review these separately.
This is our third review. Day 1 we did Bangkok highlights and you can see the Google review under Pete Birch. Day 2 Floating and Railway Markets, and you can see the review on Trip Advisor as Arctic Circle. Day 3 was War Cemetary, the Death Railway, Hellfire Pass, Bridge over the River Kwai and boat ride to the POW Museum. Another fantastic day organised by BKK tours. Took us to the best spots where other tourists didn't go including an awesome lunch. Great insights on the journey. Also, like Day 2, the van we travelled in was luxurious. Thanks so much Nes.
Air was well prepared, pleasant and professional. We didn’t have to worry about anything!! We covered so much territory in a short amount of time. She gave us wonderful suggestions for our remaining days in Bangkok! It was perfect. She tailored the trip to our interests and made sure we didn’t miss key spots in the city. She was well read and provided us with historical and current information on Thailand. Ŵe would strongly recommend Air without reservation!
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
