A timeless Bangkok icon — flawless drinks, flawless music The Bamboo Bar at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is everything a legendary bar should be — elegant, intimate, and effortlessly cool. 🍸 The mango sticky rice cocktail is absolutely to die for. Creative, beautifully balanced, and unmistakably Thai without being gimmicky. It’s one of those drinks you remember long after the night ends — refined, indulgent, and perfectly executed. 🎶 The live jazz music elevates the entire experience. Smooth, soulful, and never overpowering — the band sets the mood just right, making it easy to linger, sip slowly, and enjoy the atmosphere. It feels classic yet alive, like stepping into old-world Bangkok glamour with modern finesse. ✨ Atmosphere & Service: Impeccable service as expected from Mandarin Oriental — attentive without being intrusive. The colonial interior, warm lighting, and riverside elegance make this a perfect spot for a special night out, quiet celebration, or simply appreciating one of Bangkok’s finest bars. 📍 Verdict: If you want world-class cocktails, exceptional live music, and a sense of timeless sophistication, The Bamboo Bar is an absolute must. A true Bangkok institution. Went for a birthday drink with my bestie.
My partner and I had a wonderful evening here. The staff are polite and helpful, the cocktails delicious, the cheese board, meat board and potato skins is better than anything else you can get in Naeba. 10/10, definitely recommend
The bar is classy, has a cozy atmosphere. I ordered mocktail. I love that taste, so special. Not too sweet and scents is nice. They use special ingredient from Thailand. Like Kaffir lame. It’s a key ingredient in Thai cruisie. 🥰

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
