SIWILAI Sound Club
Tucked along Charoen Krung Road in the Bang Rak district, Siwilai Sound Club is a live music venue and bar with a strong focus on jazz performances and quality cocktails. The venue draws both locals and visitors looking for a more refined alternative to Bangkok's louder, club-style nightlife, and has earned a loyal following for its curated programming and attentive service. Guests can expect an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere anchored by live performances, with cocktails that regularly earn praise — the Mezcal Margarita and Manhattan have both been called out by visitors as highlights. The bar team is known for going out of their way for guests, including accommodating special requests for occasions like anniversaries. The music leans toward jazz, though programming varies by night, so the experience can differ depending on when you visit. Good to know: It is worth checking ahead to confirm what is on before visiting, as performance style and quality can vary between events — at least one visitor found a themed jazz night did not quite match expectations. Specific opening hours are not listed online, so reaching out via Line (which the venue appears to be active on) is a practical way to confirm schedules, make reservations, or arrange anything special. The Bang Rak location also puts it within easy walking distance of other dining and bar options along Charoen Krung, making it well suited to a broader evening out.

Visitor Reviews
What an amazing experience for our anniversary! I contacted the sound bar on Line and spoke to the manageress about doing something special for the evening. I sent her a picture of an idea and she confirmed that she would prepare something special. On the night we had the best table in the house! The table was decorated so beautifully and it created such a special moment. The sparkling Rose was delicious! They have a great variety of premium alcohol on the menu. They kept the snacks coming throughout the evening as they don’t have serve food. The music was amazing! We got to speak to the performers and take pictures with them. Hands down I think this is the best place to listen to live Jazz and Blues in Bangkok. Thank you to the kind manageress who went out of her way to make such a special evening. Follow them on instagram they have a great weekly line up of performers.
We happened upon Siwilai on a random walk, and we hit the jackpot. We arrived a bit on the early side, and the team took perfect care of us, with a well-balanced Mezcal Margarita and a Manhattan to start. We were taken also by the intimacy of the musical setting, the sound quality, and general ambiance. After the couple drinks, we went down the street to a nearby restaurant Thai restaurant for dinner, and then came back for the music, with a brilliant young singer and a three piece backup band, with drums, base guitar, and organs. Although we had not plans to stay that long, we were there almost to closing, with a few additional drinks. The staff was wonderful, with the mixologist perfect and the bartender Thai (not sure of spelling) amazingly helpful. If you want an intimate musical setting and good drinks, this is it!
Siwilai Sound Club BKK: Jazz & Great Cocktails Without Breaking the Bank Bangkok's Siwilai Sound Club is a fantastic jazz bar with a sophisticated yet inviting vibe. The live music is top-notch, and their signature cocktails are creative, delicious, and surprisingly worth the money. The only downside? Parking can be tricky, so consider public transport. Overall, it's a must-visit for a memorable night of smooth jazz and excellent drinks!

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
