Chef's Table by Lebua เชฟส์เทเบิล บาย เลอบัว
Perched on the 61st floor of the iconic State Tower in Si Lom, this French fine dining restaurant is one of Bangkok's most celebrated culinary destinations. The open kitchen concept places guests at the centre of the action, allowing them to watch skilled chefs execute technically precise, creative dishes as part of a multi-course tasting menu experience. Visitors consistently highlight the depth of flavour from the first canapés through to dessert, with seasonal menus that reflect genuine culinary craftsmanship rather than novelty alone. The atmosphere strikes a balance between theatrical and intimate. Live piano accompanies dinner service, and the panoramic views across the Bangkok skyline after sunset add a visual dimension that complements the food rather than overshadowing it. Dinners routinely run three to four hours, yet reviewers note the pacing feels natural and unhurried. This is a venue suited to special occasions, romantic evenings, or any meal where the experience itself is the priority. Good to know: Chef's Table opens exclusively for dinner, Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 PM, and is closed on Mondays. Wine pairing is available as an optional addition to the tasting menu. Reservations are strongly advised, as the intimate setting limits capacity. Smart dress is expected in keeping with the fine dining atmosphere. Arriving closer to opening time allows guests to settle in as the city lights emerge after dark, which noticeably enhances the overall ambience of the evening.

Visitor Reviews
We came for the "Hangover 2" nostalgia, but it became one of the best culinary experiences ! Like many travellers, we were drawn to the Lebua at State Tower because we wanted to see that legendary rooftop bar from the movie. And be assured - starting the night at Sky Bar with a sunset cocktail experience was the perfect "Bangkok moment"—the views are just as dizzying and dramatic as they look on screen. However, the real magic happened when we moved to the 61st floor for dinner at Chef’s Table. The panoramic views of the city skyline are breathtaking, but the atmosphere inside is surprisingly intimate and refined. Chef Vincent Thierry gave us such a warm welcome and actually joined us at the table several times throughout the night to explain the story behind his modern French tasting menu. It felt less like a stiff fine-dining meal and more like being hosted by a master in his own home - we were even invited into the open kitchen to see the magic happen firsthand. Every course was a total delight. It started with Chef spooning the most incredible homemade butter (churned from local Khao Yai cream!) directly onto our plates, and just kept soaring from there. The King Crab Tiramisu was a revelation, and the Challans Duck Breast and scallops were cooked to absolute perfection. To top it all off, they rolled out an incredibly impressive cheese trolley that would make any turophile weep with joy. If you’re looking for a world-class meal with a view to match, this is the place!
A Memorable Experience at Chef’s Table Our visit to Chef’s Table was nothing short of exceptional. The food was truly excellent – each dish reflected impressive technical precision and creativity, with beautifully balanced flavors. The wine pairing was exciting and well thought out, complementing the menu in a way that elevated the overall experience. Service was impeccable – attentive, knowledgeable, and warm, striking just the right balance between professional and personal. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in every detail. This dinner will remain one of the most memorable Michelin experiences we’ve had. Truffle and caviar were featured as optional enhancements to some courses. While already used thoughtfully within the menu, their addition could be better presented as a way to complete a dish rather than feeling like an upsell. One minor point – the live piano music, while elegant and well played, was a little too loud at times for our taste, slightly interfering with conversation. That said, it was a truly unforgettable evening that fully lived up to its reputation.
flavour explosion since canapés with live piano for ambience . I went for the 5 course seasonable menu(with no wine pairing) and glad that I did . This is testament to their awards . Service is exceptional as expected of a 2-star Michelin . There was (pleasant) surprise after surprise (which I will not disclose). I took the offer for an interactive experience which allowed access to the kitchen bench to watch the magic happen (plating). I am glad to go easy on the bread for dessert room. The sommelier was patient and offered lovely recommendations for a champagne and red . I look forward to returning to try the signature menu. Definitely a special experience .

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
