BACCARAT

4.4(1,821 reviews)

The music is the draw here. R&B runs through the night, and the room fills gradually rather than going off at nine, so you can sit and talk early and end up on the dancefloor later without ever quite deciding to. People describe it as busy but not crushed, which is a harder balance to strike on Sukhumvit 24 than it sounds. Drinks and service both come in for praise. If you want a late one in this stretch of Bangkok without committing to a full club, it works.

The door is where things get complicated, and I won't dress it up. One reviewer describes being refused entry while white guests walked in without bookings, and calls the bouncer's manner offensive. Another pair had a table taken from them mid-evening during a guest DJ night by a group who'd bought a bottle, with staff rudeness from the moment they arrived. That's not everyone's experience, but it's enough of a pattern that I'd go in with my eyes open.

Nice atmosphere, great music — perfect spot to chill or hang out with friends. Drinks are delicious, service is friendly, and even though it’s busy, it’s not too crowded. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a late-night place in this area 🍸✨

This club is so much fun!!! Good vibe. Good music!! Come to dance 🤩🥳🥃

Thought this was a nice spot because friends recommended it. They asked to meet them there. Sadly what they didn’t realize is it’s a racist entry criteria so joining them later means I won’t get in! White people - no problem (as I stood there in shock watching they let then through without bookings), but otherwise you’re out. Despite being patient, pleasant and very polite, the bouncer was very offense too, saying I’m not welcome. What a complete disgrace! Expected better in Thailand but apparently not. Really hope people don’t support organizations like this.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars

Carry Your Passport or a Copy

Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.

Know the Closing Times

Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.

Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously

Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
