Rooftop bars in Bangkok mostly follow the same script: dark wood, jazz, a cocktail that costs more than your lunch. This one goes the other way with a beach-club look, indoor and outdoor space, and the Sukhumvit skyline instead of sea. It works better than it sounds, mainly because it holds up at two very different times of day.

Get there in the afternoon and it's a slow, social place for a drink and something to eat. By late evening it tips towards a night out, and after 10pm at weekends you'll be sharing the good spots with everyone else. My advice is to pick a lane. Come early if you want a seat and conversation, come late if you want the noise. Trying to do both means arriving at the awkward hour in between.

Despite the sand-and-sunshine styling, don't take the theme literally with what you wear. Smart casual is the expectation, and flip-flops won't fly.
