R-MAR RESORT AND SPA
Compare prices
Tucked just off the main street in Patong, R-Mar Resort and Spa offers a calm retreat within easy reach of one of Phuket's most lively beach destinations. The property features chic rooms and suites, an elegant restaurant, a poolside bar, and a dedicated spa, making it a well-rounded base for both relaxation and exploration. Despite its central location in a busy area, guests consistently note that the resort maintains a noticeably peaceful atmosphere within its grounds.
Staff hospitality is a recurring highlight in guest feedback, with the team across reception, housekeeping, and the breakfast area receiving particular praise. The breakfast service stands out as a genuine strength, and the resort's travel desk offers packages for day trips, including island excursions to nearby Phi Phi. Rooms are comfortable, though some guests note that the decor shows signs of wear, so those seeking a freshly renovated property may want to review current room photos before booking.
The location is a practical advantage — small bars and restaurants sit directly outside the hotel, and Patong Beach is within easy walking distance. For travellers who want a reliable, well-staffed resort close to Patong's amenities without being in the thick of the noise, R-Mar presents a solid option. Booking directly through the resort's website is worth considering for the best available rates and package options.

Reviews from Google
We stayed at R-Mar Hotel for 9 days and overall we were very satisfied. The hotel is really good, and the best part was definitely the breakfast. Kaew, who works in the breakfast area does an amazing job, she is very helpful, attentive, and well organized. The variety and quality of the breakfast exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located right in the center of Patong, with excellent access to everything. We initially thought it might be noisy because of the location, but it was generally very quiet. We stayed in rooms facing the pool, which might be one of the reasons. If you are looking for a quieter stay, pool-side rooms could be a better option. The rooms and the hotel in general are clean, with daily housekeeping. Free water and a few complimentary drinks are provided and refilled every day, which is a nice touch. You can also confidently book your tours through the tour office inside the hotel, they offered us good discounts and we were very happy with the tours we booked. Overall, we can easily recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, breakfast, and friendly staff. I think for the price tag there is nothing similar in the center of Patong.
We want to thank everyone, from the people who helped us with check-in at reception, the room attendants, the cleaning staff, the gardeners, the maintenance staff, the staff at the coffee bar, and the breakfast buffet staff. Everyone is very professional in what they do. The complimentary minibar is something you don't expect, but it really adds something special to your stay at this hotel. The complimentary drinks were wonderful, and the service at the spa was impeccable. Thank you all so much for your wonderful service and for helping us have an unforgettable vacation. I wish you all the best. I promise we will return and recommend you 100%.
Well situated just off the main street, but still close enough to the action. There are a few little bars and restaurants right outside the hotel, which was very convenient. The rooms are a bit tired, and I wasn’t a fan of the shower being over the bathtub, but the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good. There was an incident on the last night with some unruly guests staying next to us. The hotel handled it professionally and the police were called. I felt quite bad for the staff, who were subjected to abuse from these guests. There are no lifts, and I had requested a high floor, so it was three sets of stairs good for fitness I suppose! That said, the staff were very happy to carry our cases to and from the room. We even received a call prior to checkout saying they would assist when we were ready, which was a nice touch.
