Come here for convenience and company, not for solitude. This is Phuket's busiest stretch of coast, three kilometres of white sand on the Andaman with turquoise water in front and a wall of restaurants, shops and bars behind. Loungers, vendors and operators selling jet skis, parasailing and banana boat rides run most of the length of it. Bangla Road and its nightlife sit a short walk back from the sand. If that sounds like too much, it probably is, and you'd be happier further up the coast.
